 I am a crazy fan of Sex and the City.  Having said that, I was intrigued by this book's description.  What would happen if one of the pampered New York's elite ended up with nothing but the clothes on her back?  Would she be able to survive in New York?

Chloe is the ultimate pampered daughter of an investment banker... who actually gets caught doing a Ponzi scheme.  The book begins with the FBI banging at her apartment door and evicting her.  I loved that she is such a fish out of water in the beginning.  The only thing she has going for her beyond her physical attributes is the fact that she is intelligent and determined to survive.

From finding a job, paying for her NYU tuition so she can graduate at the end of the semester, and finding an apartment she can afford (in a neighborhood where she will actually not be mugged), Chloe goes through it all.  Imagine waking up one day and trying to budget your money when you have not done that EVER!

Her girlfriends are there for her.  They are truly sisters at heart.  She is so lucky to have them because others would have just turned their backs on her.  She does have an ex-boyfriend that she cannot get rid of and a desire to find a future for herself.

If I sound like I am gushing about Chloe... it is because it is true!  I love stories that show growth in the characters while they try to find a brighter future.  You will not be able to put Chloe down until the end.  Bravo for Chloe!
