Fledgling vampyre Zoey Redbird has managed to settle in at the House of Night. She's come to terms with the vast powers the vampyre goddess, Nyx, has given her, and is getting a handle on being the new Leader of the Dark Daughters. Best of all, Zoey finally feels like she belongs--like she really fits in. She actually has a boyfriend…or two. Then the unthinkable happens: Human teenagers are being killed, and all the evidence points to the House of Night. While danger stalks the humans from Zoey's old life, she begins to realize that the very powers that make her so unique might also threaten those she loves. Then, when she needs her new friends the most, death strikes the House of Night, and Zoey must find the courage to face a betrayal that could break her heart, her soul, and jeopardize the very fabric of her world.

REVIEW

I couldn't get enough after finishing Marked, I had to move on to Betrayed and see what happened next!  So much action, romance in the air and betrayal that the pages kept turning on their own accord.

Zoey has finally gotten settled into her new school.  Her closest friends could be the death of her come the end of this installment though.  Between her imprinting with her human soon to be ex-boyfriend, Heath and the drama at the House of Night she's got her work cut out for her.

After taking leadership of The Dark Daughters, those around her start to look at her in a new light.  Yet when humans of the city start to turn up dead or murdered everything points to the school of vampyres'. There's something twisted going on and Zoey must get to the bottom of it.  While her friends are the only ones she can rely on, those closest to her may turn out to be her enemy.

The characters are more developed in this installment, we get to know more about a few of the key characters as well.  The story line is well developed and the climax is great.  I enjoyed this book and would recommend to others that love a to read YA Fantasy/Paranormal genre.
