A day in the life of Catriona Crehan...
I must have mulled over writing this a bazillion times, because to be honest, my days are pretty darn boring! I mean, I’m a writer... so most of my time is spent on the computer. Doing things like emailing, writing, and social networking to promote my book.
However, having two stepchildren and a husband makes things a bit more crazy as there is other household issues that need to be taken care of. I have a lot of ideas in my head daily, so it’s a lot of fun for me to sit down and write out my ideas. I often go back to them and create stories and sometimes they start to form books. Others form poems or short stories.
I like to listen to music...but it has to be instrumental because the lyrics to the song distract me and then I find myself writing the song lyrics instead of the words to my story!
Anyone else have that problem, or is it just me?
However, if the scene I’m writing has an intense emotional background... I like to listen to an equally intense song (with lyrics this time) ;)
My must have drink while I write is actually a Powerade. I mean, I know coffee is something most adults say, but I’ve never liked it. I can’t get past the bitter taste and probably never will. The only thing I’d never turn down is a pumpkin or egg nog latte. Halloween/Christmas time comes rolling around and that’s all I drink while I write!
So basically, my day consists of waking up, most times skipping breakfast. Power lunch while on my computer, break time. Back to the computer. Computer,computer,computer,computer... but I’m not complaining. I love what I do and I’m really hoping that everything takes off. I really hope everyone enjoys the book I’ve written and I’m CERTAINLY having fun spending my days writing the sequel :)
Spending every day meeting new people and seeing new readers of my book, really encourages me to keep going, and I most definitely will.

Hoping to have a good change and good ending to go with it, Emily, a 16- year-old girl from Ohio, has moved to sunny California.
Moving to a new town can be scary, especially a new school. So when Sam, the most popular kid there, looks her way, she can’t believe this is happening to her.
Everything seems to be working out fine. That is, until her mother buys an enchanted mirror by mistake.
Suddenly, Emily finds herself in a whole new world, full of talking animals, magic and more change than she was hoping for.
With the help of her new crush, Sam, and her annoyingly goofy 12-year-old brother James, Emily sets out to save their world and ours.
Damien flew through the window.
“Your Majesty!” I looked him over and saw his feathers ruffled dirty. His eyes were wide, and he sounded severely out of breath. “Yes, Damien? What have you seen?”
“Your sister! She hurt the Emily lady and the green keeper led her to safety. She has obtained the first key! What shall we do?”
“WHAT? She’s stronger than I thought! How could she have gotten the first key already? That’s impossible!”
“She has! She passed the green spirits character test! What are we going to do?”
"We’re going to have to intercept her at the Blue Spirit. That will most likely be her next destination. Let’s go.”
I will find her and end it now. I cannot risk her getting another key. It will be my own undoing.
About the Author
Upcoming author to the scene, I will be releasing my YA (young teen) read "The Color Keepers" this spring! Although previously on kindle, I have taken it down to give it a revamp :)
Now with a new cover, bonus material and an extra character, things are going to get awesome!
