Run Like Hell & A Deadly Quest by Adam Gaffen

My Guest ~ Adam Gaffen

1. Easy question, tell us a bit about your books! How many do you have? Where can we buy them? What are they about?
Okay, well, I’m primarily a SF writer – though I do branch out. My two most consistent sellers, actually, are both Sherlock Holmes stories! Total, right now, I have nine up (one under a pseudonym), available mostly on Amazon (A) and three on Smashwords (S). Let’s see. Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Viscount’s Butler (A), Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Missing Date (A), Refuge (A) (a time-travel/post-apocalyptic/vampire novella), The Longest Night (A)(a twisted take on Christmas), Who Watches The Watchers?(A) (another SF armageddon-ish story), The Kildaran (S)(a book set in John Ringo’s GHOST universe, mostly MilFic), Run Like Hell [The Cassidy Chronicles Book 1] (A,S) (22nd century espionage thriller), and A Deadly Quest [The Cassidy Chronicles Book 2] (A,S)
2. Totally random question: what type of fruit juice do you like? Why? Do you hate fruit juice? Why?
Cranberry juice and juice blends – love the tartness with the sweet
3. What made you want to start writing?
I’ve always been creative; this was an outlet that I could manage (unlike drawing) and found that I had some talent for.
4. Totally random question: do you watch zombies movies/shows? Why or why not? Which are your favorites? If not, what do you like to watch?
I’ve watched some – 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, Shawn Of The Dead, Resident Evil, some of Romero’s Living Dead movies – as a genre, they’re like any other – if the script is crap, the movie’s crap. I think my favorite is the original Night of the Living Dead; it set the tone for every zombie movie that followed.
5. What author has inspired you the most/who is your favorite author?
Robert Heinlein, followed closely by a whole host of others. It was Heinlein’s stories that inspired me, though, just the ease with which his stories sucked you in that really got me hooked.
6. If you could give your fans one piece of advice, what would it be?
Whatever you want to do, don’t give up on it! It might take more time than you expect – but be patient!
7. Give us what you think is your best or one of your best lines of writing from any of your titles that are available to purchase?
Hoo boy. A SINGLE line? Okay, from Run Like Hell:
“Dirty and dangerous is what we need right now,” resumed Kendra. “Or do you think we should just go home and wait for the next wacko with a gun?”
8. Last question which is totally random: if you had to be a supernatural creature (vampire, werewolf, yeti, etc., etc.) which would you be and why?
Time Lord, thank you very much.

 Run Like Hell Blurb

Wedding days are supposed to be memorable, but probably not like this. Not with an assassination attempt and fleeing your home and country for reasons you don't understand. But that's exactly what happens to Aiyana Cassidy. Now, she's on a quest to find out who's chasing her, what they want, and how she can stop them.

Set a century from now, this novella is the first of the Cassidy Chronicles.

A Deadly Quest Blurb

Cass and Ken are on the run, searching for a safe place to find the answers. Who is trying to kill them? What do they want? How does Cass' research tie into this?

The questions are harmless, but the answers might make this A Deadly Quest.

Volume 2 in The Cassidy Chronicles.
