My Guest ~ Trish Marie Dawson
I am
back and messing with Julia's chair again! I'm just a smidgen taller,
and towered over her computer. ;) Hopefully this week you got a
chance to read 'Dying to Forget'…if not, that's okay, but I warn
you, I might spoil a bit of book two info for you today.
One of
things I get asked a lot by my readers is 'Where do you come up with
your ideas?' and I laugh because if they knew the real truth, I'd
most likely be in trouble. But I like you guys, and Julia is being
gracious enough to share her blog with me today, so I'll go ahead and
spill the secret for everyone to giggle at. It's a secret most
writer's share.
I
write what I dream. And then I tweak the dream until the characters
fit and finally I write the story. See, that's all there is to it! I
knew when I started 'Dying to Forget' it would become part of a
series and before I finished the first book, I knew what I wanted to
have happen for the most part in book two. I introduced a new
character that is not human. This was fun for me, as I like the idea
of playing on the 'fantasy' element of this series, but it was also a
gamble: would the readers want the story to stray from the original
teen fiction drama and take a ride to a place even more fantastical
than the Station? 99% of the readers said 'YES!'
This
is great for me because it means I can incorporate more of my crazy
dreams into the rest of the series. And you are the first to know -
there will be a totally new and separate series coming from this fun
twist. When it will be out, I don't know - I have to write it first,
which means I need to dream more.
Now if
only my children would understand that this means Mommy needs to be
allowed to sleep more than 6 hours a day. ;) Thank you Julia for
having me today on the blog! I hope you enjoyed your break. Now, let
me see if I can remember what height setting this office chair was
on…
Awesome, you remembered to put my chair back! hehe It's not easy being shorter than most! I have to compensate for a lot of things with my height. My chair at the highest level is one of those things, though my feet barely touch the floor, I can see the screen to my computer perfectly.
Thank you so much for joining me again to share with my followers your second book, Dying to Remember! I enjoyed having you here and hope to see you back when your dreams allow you to write and publish book three in The Station Series!
Blurb & Review of Dying to Remember
(The Station Series)
Blurb
The next installment in The Station
Series by Amazon Bestselling Author, Trish Marie Dawson, takes
readers on another lively journey through the after-life adventures
of eighteen year old Piper Willow.
Piper has new challenges to overcome, new names to learn and is faced with a new Station occupation. Did she make the right choice - choosing to stay at the Station and become a Volunteer? Does she really want answers to the questions that never leave her mind? How did the Station come to be? What lies beyond? Who is Andurush and what, exactly, does he want with Piper?
She must ask herself once again if she has what it takes…but this time it isn't about saving lives, it is about discovering what lies beyond death.
Would you want to know?
My Review
I loved reading both Dying to Forget then picking up Dying to Remember back to back
in The Station Series. It made it that much more real to me and I was just
lucky enough to be able to do so, when receiving both books back to back
as this book flowed smoothly back into the story picking up where the
first left off. I couldn't just pick up this book without reading book one first.
It was so good, so well written and flowed nicely, I couldn't put the sucker down!! It had me turning the pages so quickly I could not read it fast enough. I wanted to know more, wanted to continue on the journey with Piper.
There was so much emotion and feeling put into these two books that I can't help that to feel a connection with the characters. They are well written and I love Piper! Sloan is amazing too... I will be picking up the next book as soon as it is available, there is no way I'm putting this series down!
If you are looking for a unique and a well planned out story, to be taken on an emotional roller coaster ride with Piper and Sloan, then you have to pick up Dying to Remember, if you have not read or purchased Dying To Forget then do so now, it's a must read...and in order... If you are anything like me, I'm anal when it comes to reading series out of order!!! They're both amazing!
