Explosive, raw, lustful, erotic and emotional are but a few words that come to mind when reviewing this book.  The combination of Lila Carmichael and Alexander Wolfe is highly combustible from the moment he begins to interview her for the job of his assistant.

This is erotica with a great plot line.  These two characters literally cannot keep their hands from each other.  Some of the scenes are so hot you will think your house is on fire.

They both appear to be as far apart in the social class as is possible.  Yet, when they start sharing their secrets, they find they are more alike than they originally thought.  They both come from disrupted childhoods where abuse, fear, hunger and finally escape is a reality.  They each worked hard to remake their lives and build a future they would be proud of.  They are kindred spirits, communicating through their bodies and building a connection that goes deeper than their lust for each other.

Definitely recommended... look for my review of Honey Girl the sequel to this story.  This story just gets better and better.  The sex is still hot, but the plot line just blossoms into a more gripping story yet.

Oh, this story just gets better and better!

Alexander and Lila are now deep into this relationship that is both obsessive and lustful.  Having said that, their bond goes deeper than a carnal attraction.  Their bond is deep in their psyche because of the shared horrors of their pasts.

Looking at how they cannot stay away from each other I would venture to say the obsession stems from their need to love and be loved.  The fear of losing what they have is so horrific to either one of them, they must shadow each other and stay within arms reach to feel secure neither will be abandoned or left unprotected.

As their love flourishes, reality sets in.  The sex is still hot, but work is now a pressing undercurrent to their relationship.  As they grapple with the complications of adjusting to real life, they begin to disagree and tradeoff priorities.  Like any other relationship, they must find the middle ground and respect each others right to make decisions.

But all is not fair weather.  Alexander's ex girlfriend raises her "ugly head" and the complications have only started to surface.

This second book in the series is a show stopper!
