I wasn't supposed to fall for the rebel heir, especially when he made it clear he didn’t want to cross the line with me.
As the temperature turned cooler, the nights became hotter. My summer became a lot more interesting—and complicated.
All good things must come to an end, right?
Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

Gia's Summer in the Hampton's is really not shaping out to what she expected. She must finish writing her romance book. After all, the publisher has already given her an advance and is expecting a finished product. Too bad she has already spent the money. When the opportunity comes up to work part-time as a restaurant hostess, she jumps on it. Money is the motivation, not the smoking hot owner with whom she spars with from the very beginning.

Rush cannot believe it when he hires the sassy girl filling-in for his bartender. She would be the perfect hostess for his busy restaurant/bar for the Summer. Well, that plus she is eye candy he cannot keep from watching. He must control his urges to pursue her. He has a hard rule - never date an employee.

These two characters banter all the time. Neither wants to give an inch, but they both cannot stay away from each other. One thing leads to the other and soon they discover they have much in common, besides this unmistakable chemistry. Gia just has bad luck with men. Her last attempt was a one night stand that ended miserably. Rush is focusing on building a future that is safe and secure. His past has taught him never to rely on anyone but his mom.

Amusing and full of the romantic plotline that has us swooning, this book has an excellent storyline. The story continues in Rebel Heart. Although this book does not end on a cliffhanger, it does end on an amazing happening that will keep you at the edge of your seats. I cannot wait for Rebel Heart to publish.
