About Love In Transit:
You know those people that have a house full of motivational
slogans? Embrace Every Moment, stamped on their coffee mugs. Always Kiss Me
Goodnight painted above their perfectly made beds.
I’m not one of those people.
This morning I overslept, then slipped on a stray sock and
banged my toe into the nightstand. The elevator in my building broke and I had
to run down six flights of stairs. And then my local coffee shop was closed.
For health code violations.
What’s that? Not the end of the world? You want me to suck it
up?
Did I mention I’m wearing a wedding dress… on the subway?
It’s a Good Day for a Hot Mess. Someone embroider that on a
pillow.

These are all little jewels to enjoy while maybe your are riding your train to work. Each of these short stories deals with the problem of relationships, weddings, and a train stop that is meaningful in one way or another to the story. One blurb, six different top selling authors, equals six delightful stories!
Take Raine Miller's story CAPITOL SOUTH for instance. That is the stop where Reese and Gray keep meeting throughout their decision/indecision about their futures. What starts as a conversation between ex-Presidents discussing perhaps the union of their children at some future date, grows into a requirement in a will. The inheritance is pending their marriage by a certain date if not, it will go to charity. Needless to say, a lot of money is involved. Childhood friends must explore their feelings, dreams, and wish for independence before deciding if money is worth taking the marriage vows as required. This story is funny, emotional, and makes you think about priorities.
I loved the fact that each of these train stations has a special meaning to our couples. If you are familiar with the city where these stations actually exist, it endears the story and the pictures in your head become real like watching a movie. These are top bestselling authors gifting us wonderful stories to treasure and all for a good cause.
I am voluntarily reviewing this anthology. Thank you to the authors for sharing a copy with me.
