The stunning conclusion to the New York Times Bestseller.
There’s one, unbreakable rule in the game.
Stay collected. Compartmentalize. Think your next move through. Never let your heart dictate your tactics.
The heart is impulsive.
The heart makes bad decisions.
The heart doesn’t see the long game.
Because the heart may have decided to get Adam back, but when the endgame comes, the heart’s going to be the first thing to break.

What would you be willing to do for someone you love? Would you be willing to give them up in order to protect them? How can you live knowing the one you love is in the arms of another because you walked away? Adam and Diana are going through the madness of reconciling their emotions with their needs. Divorce is a madness and no one goes through it without being changed. There are no guarantees of happiness after divorce, just the assurance that you will come out of it changed and facing an entire new life, whether you are ready or not.
The visceral analysis of this dysfunctional marriage continues. Now that Diana has discovered Adam's other side, she craves him. She has been given just a taste of what it is like to be his sub and she will not settle for less. But how do you merge the dichotomy of loving your independence while at the same time submitting to the demands and punishments of a Master?
In the meantime, Adam is deeply confused. Deep down he loves Diana, but he thinks he cannot love a sub. How to reconcile his need to master her with his love for her innocent self is the dilemma.
This has been an amazing series. Our author has somehow been able to put on paper the emotional upheaval our characters are going through as they discover who they are for once. After 5 years of marriage, they discover how little they know of each other's emotions. All they know is that there is a deep love they feel for each other ~whether it will survive this upheaval or not, only time will tell. Both are confused and in their own way, fighting to hang on to each other. A masterpiece of emotional understanding.
CD Reiss is a New York Times bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn't pick up she's at the well hauling buckets.
Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master's degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels.
She's frequently referred to as the Shakespeare of Smut which is flattering but hasn't ever gotten her out of chopping that cord of wood.
If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.
