Taking this journey with MacKenzie, I found this book to have an unexpected depth. How many of us are willing to admit we lived part of our lives not asking for what we needed or wanted? Instead, we did not stay true to our souls and adapted ourselves, negated our needs, and just went along with whatever our partner wanted just to keep the peace and a happy marriage. Is this why so many marriages fall apart after the children are grown, or even before then?
