This is a new series about a boxer who just loves to fight. If you have been reading about the Rinaldi family, you will recognize this brother as the black sheep. The emotions in him drive him to fight... no childhood psychological damage, no abuse, just plainly the fact that he LOVES to fight. It is part of his DNA somehow and he enjoys knowing he is good at it.
Micah is so full of himself cocky I wanted to smack him at first. As I read on, he became a bit more endearing. Falling for Gisele is either going to be his salvation or his downfall. Her connections to the Vegas Mafia family put her in the "definitely trouble" column.
Gisele is the one that draws you into the story right away. Losing her family and ending up being raised by the Vegas Mafia family has pampered her but she recognizes she is indebted to them. She is almost 21 years old and hopefully she will be able to stand on her own after she becomes of age. Meeting Micah derails her plans. He is so absolute virile and strong she is drawn to him like a moth to the flame.
Of all the Rinaldi stories, so far, I believe this is my favorite. There is a lot going on and this is a puzzle to be solved. There are 4 books in this series and I can hardly wait to read them all.
