 Having broken up with Jacob on their first official date, Vie is just devastated.  Actually, he is the one that dumped her without giving her a chance to explain why she cried.

Vie is both angry and heart-broken wondering why his demeanor changed and decided to leave her.  Not even a kiss.  Why?

This story is going to be complex from Jacob's reaction.  He has deep secrets which he never shares with anyone.  You can tell he needs the control in order to calm the demons in his mind.  What happened to him to make him this way.  None of the other Rinaldi men are like this.  Gianni is controlling and into this lifestyle, but he does not have the same demons chasing him.  Guess we will have to read more about Jacob to find out what drives him.

As always, the author is leading us through a maze of passion and lust.  Vie is so inexperienced you can only hope she will be able to grow and handle Jacob.  Perhaps with her gentle ways he will learn to love.

There is hope for our couple yet!  A business trip to France; an unexpected encounter; who knows what can happen next!
