In this Mature Contemporary Romance, A.M. Willard brings you Fading Memories—a story about love, grief, and memories that slowly fade with time.

Isabel Nichols’s life changed in more ways than one through the years. As a young child, she experienced a loss that devastated her. It wasn’t until she was an adult that the universe around her shattered. In a twenty-four-hour time frame, she lost what she’d thought was her world. What followed was a year of mourning, a year of grieving, a year of darkness. Now, there’s one man who can show her the light.

Dakota Jackson left his life behind on a whim, moving to a beach cottage away from the big city where he grew up. He sees through Izzie’s clouds as he gets to know her, with the drive to be everything that she’s ever needed. The only problem is, Dakota holds the key to a secret that could ruin both of their hopes and dreams.

Passion isn’t always enough to heal a broken heart; love isn’t always enough to guide you through the darkness.

This is about two souls that were meant to be together from the day they were born. Two people who have to figure out a way to look past the memories. It’s the now; it’s living your life as you’re meant to, loving the one your heart craves. It’s about letting go of the grieving, learning to be who you are, and accepting life for what it is.

Can love cure all things despite its hardships?

"A.M. Willard writes a sweet, yet gripping romance, full of angst, promise, and hope. Fading Memories will restore your faith in love." Endorsement from Author Silla Webb.

“A.M. Willard has the combination to unlock your heart. This is a elegantly written book and an emotional journey that I highly recommend reading.” from author Addison Kline.

"Lives entwined as intricately as a lovers' knot, Dakota balances his need to get closer to Izzie with her need for distance in a battle of wills where love and acceptance is the ultimate prize." Author Libby Austin.

Memories sometimes sustain us when we are in pain.  The sweetest memories help us hope for a better tomorrow when our lives are in turmoil.  Painful memories help us grow and strengthen our character.  They make us think and analyze what went wrong. Sometimes we find our answers... sometimes it takes some time to fade those memories so we can move on.  "This is our story, it's about how memories fade away, and new beginnings start."

Izzie is trying to mend her heart after losing her father and her fiance all in the same week.
The father she adored and the man she thought was her forever - unbearable loss!  A year has passed and now it is Summer again.  She is trying to take control of her life, remodel the family beach cottage she inherited, and hopefully move on.

The cottage next door has been sold and the new neighbor is positively delicious to look at.  The attraction is immediate and the relationship that almost does not happen is a story full of romance, sweet and painful memories, and relentless pursuit of the happiness we all wish for.  Beautifully written, this book is nostalgic and full of interesting propositions.  If you are a romantic at heart, this is the book for you.  Enjoy!
