CRASH
The Beat and The Pulse #3
by Amity Cross
Genre: Erotic Romance
Release Date: September 22, 2015
Violet Fuller has been through a lot in her short life.
After being viciously attacked, she’s hidden herself away from the world for the past five years, fearing everyone and everything. That’s until the day she finally gathers the courage to go outside.
Violet decides to take a job at Ash’s new gym, Pulse, to reacquaint herself with the male dominated world of MMA. She used to be her brother’s biggest supporter, going to all his matches and cheering him on. There’s no one he trusts more to help him run the admin side of his new business, but when Violet walks through the door for the first time, she sees someone she wasn’t expecting.
Handsome, AUFC fighter, Lincoln Hayes.
The same Lincoln Hayes that she’s had a crush on since she was sixteen.
All muscled, disciplined, hot as hell, six-foot two of him. He’s definitely not a boy anymore.
Things are about to become more difficult than Violet had hoped. So much for easing back into reality.
And Lincoln? He’s only got one thing on his mind.
How do you win over a woman who is afraid of everything?
Simple.
You fight.
Sometimes you find a character that tugs at your heart because of how fragile she is. In the course of reading her story, you find she is a survivor and is willing to fight and gain the strength that was taken from her. Violet Fuller is such a character.
After her horrific experience with Hammer, she is now on the mend. Small steps and time have helped heal her. Of course, her therapist gives her the encouragement she needs to keep achieving these small wins. Yet the question on Violet's mind is always will she ever be able to love a man after her ordeal.
Lincoln Hayes has been attracted to her all his life. She has always stood as the unattainable girl he dreams about. As Lincoln and Violet are thrown together, the plot gets interesting and really sweet. This is a slow courtship using trust and respect to gain each other's hearts.
Lincoln's sensitivity and patience makes him the book boyfriend to swoon about. He has never enjoyed a relationship, so he is feeling his way in the dark here. Yet he is doing very well. The key is that he is always thinking of Violet and what would be good for her.
I loved this book. Romantic, sensitive and emotional! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
