The Empire State Trilogy, Part 1

Released: October 21, 2014

Each novella is around 30k words

Anna Kirby is sick of dating. She's tired of heartbreak. Despite being smart, sexy, and funny, she's a magnet for men who don't deserve her.

A week's vacation in New York is the ultimate distraction from her most recent break-up, as well as a great place to meet a stranger and have some summer fun. But to protect her still-bruised heart, fun comes with rules. There will be no sharing stories, no swapping numbers, and no real names. Just one night of uncomplicated fun.

Super-successful serial seducer Ethan Scott has some rules of his own. He doesn't date, he doesn't stay the night, and he doesn't make any promises.

It should be a match made in heaven. But rules are made to be broken.

A Week in New York is the first in a series of three novellas.

Rules are rules and not meant to be broken. Correct? Anna set the rules plain and simple the moment Ethan tried to pick her up at the bar. She was only in town for a week, not interested in dating men, and if he wanted sex with her, it would have to be a one-night-stand. In addition, no real names were to be exchanged, no personal information, and he was required to "suit up" for the complete treatment.

I had to laugh when I read this. She was covering all the bases and was laying down the law. Ethan did not disagree, either! This was perfect! He NEVER dated a girl, NEVER had sleepovers, and NEVER called or saw the same girl twice ( with two exceptions). He was not into complicating his life.

We all know we can plan and lay down the law, but life has a way of playing with us and rules are meant to be broken. We are all human after all. These two lovers fall all over each other .... and shut the front door and put a DO NOT DISTURB sign up for sure.

HOT, passionate, straight forward and endearing. I promise you will read this book with a smile on your face. I want these two lovers ... wait! No spoilers here! I will give you a hint... Autumn in London is book #2 in this series and is due to be released December 14th! Oh what a Christmas gift!

The Empire State Trilogy, Part 2

Each novella is around 30k words

Anna Kirby went to New York to escape heartbreak and have some fun. She wasn't meant to meet someone . . . someone like Ethan. Now, back in London, she's faced with another man to get over.

Ethan Scott broke every one of his rules during his week with Anna and now he can't seem to go back to life before her. A business trip to London gives him the opportunity to change his rules for good. Will he take it?

Autumn in London is the second part of The Empire State Series, a series of three novellas.

I am so hooked on this series!

A few months have passed since Ethan and Anna met for the fated week in New York. Neither of them have been able to go back to what their "normal" status was before that week. The impact on each other has been life changing. But how can these two characters ever meet again while living in two different continents?

Fate steps in again just when the two of them were about to go crazy dealing with the emotions of not having left a way to link up with each other again. This time, they will spend three months together... and my OH my! These two are burning up the sheets when they make it that far!

I cannot give away too much of the plot line because you need to experience this just like I did, with minimal information. Just know that these two are incendiary and just meant for each other.

I am now a certified fan for life of Louise Bay! I love her writing style. I love her characters and how real they are. They could be dear friends and I am the voyeur following their lives.

The Empire State Series concludes in New Year in Manhattan.

Anna and Ethan are separated by the Atlantic Ocean. Their previous rules no longer apply.

Long-distance relationships are never easy and their relationship is fragile. For how long can it survive under the pressure of separation? Are either of them prepared to give up what they have for the other?

But distance isn’t the only obstacle Anna and Ethan face. Ultimately they have to decide whether they want to share a future together.

Ethan's time in London has come to an end. Tearful goodbyes at the airport aside, they are both looking forward to Anna visiting New York after Christmas in time to celebrate New Year's Eve in New York with Ethan.

This love affair is still very fragile. They love each other with the full force of the forever love we all seek in like. Living continents apart is no way for this new love to blossom. Long distance does not lend to assuage their insecurities-- does he feel forced into this relationship? Will she meet someone new and dump me? He is a highly sexual man, can he possibly abstain for three weeks while I am in London and he is in New York? etc.

Phone sex has been promised... but it is difficult to perform when you have so much on your mind. Anna does not want to disappoint Ethan and he does not want her to fake it either. The only salvation to this love affair is going to be their commitment to never bulls**t each other. Only total honesty will help them survive.

This trilogy has been delightful to read. It feels so real. Like something that could happen to any one of us. This is what romance is all about. Even a man like Ethan who is a terror in the office and in court is a romantic at heart with the right woman. He is a treasure!

About the Author

I write sexy, contemporary romance novels – the kind I like to read. My books Faithful and Hopeful are stand-alone novels although there are some overlapping characters. The Empire State Series of novellas starts with A Week in New York.

Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, I love all things romantic. There's not enough of it in real life so I'll settle for books and films.

I love the rain, the West Wing, London, days when you don't have to wear make-up, being alone, being with friends, elephants and champagne.

Hearing from readers is the best thing in the world so get in touch!
