Bound (Strand Brothers #2)

by Lora Ann

New Release and Review

When submission, love, and something far too terrifying bind.

How far will you go for someone you love? Which lines are you willing to cross? Who will you turn to when the ones that should be there for you aren't?

Lacey Kincaid is in search of her drug addicted, twin sister, Keeley. But every time she locates her, Keeley moves on. Now Keeley has disappeared without a trace and it's up to Lacey to find her before it's too late.

Even (pronounced Evan) a.k.a. E Strand is the youngest of three and by far the most dangerous. No, he isn't a badass like his oldest brother, Nik. Nor is he the most handsome like his brother, Alex. His danger lies in his personal preferences in the bedroom. Many know him as the Master and it is a title he deserves. Owner of numerous sex clubs as well as instructor of BDSM E is fulfilled, until the night a dancer at one of his clubs catches his eye. She's innocent. Beautiful. Off limits. Yet he wants her for his own.

It doesn't take long for E to realize the woman he desires to dominate needs his help. As their journey to find Keeley runs into one dead-end after another, passion ignites between these two. But is it enough to bind them together forever? Or, will the bond between sisters keep the lovers apart? Can they free Keeley from the clutches of a madman in time? And if they do, will happily ever after be in their future?

Due to violence, strong language, & sexual content this book is recommended for 18+.

 4.5 out of 5 Stars
The Strand Brothers are still standing strong.  Their nemesis Senator Caleb Reynolds is still, in my mind, the Devil's spawn.  Never have I encountered a villain like this one.  His desire for pain and torture is the only outlet for his deranged mind.  Still he continues to go free due to his superior intelligence and power to manipulate situations.

In this installment, E has fallen for a woman who desperately needs his help to locate her missing sister.  Caught in the underbelly of drug users and prostitution in Lake Tahoe, Keeley has gone missing without a trace.  E is taken by not only Lacey's beauty but her innocence.  The protector side of his psyche will not let her down.  He is committed to helping her, even though he senses his bachelor days are numbered.

Although this story focuses on the love affair between E and Lacey, the story also includes Nik, Aimee and Alex.  All their lives are affected as they are supporting and protecting each other.  They are a united front and always there to help each other out.  The Senator continues to threaten Aimee's life and now appears to have expanded his sick hobby to include more young women of the Lake Tahoe area.

This is a book for a mature over 18 audience.  There are aspects of the S & M lifestyle the Senator is involved in that although skillfully depicted, are still disturbing.  The plight of the women that fall under the Senator's grip is both horrifying and thrilling, as they seek their freedom from his influence.

Never a dull moment.  You will not want to put this book down!

One unforgettable night at a masquerade changes it all.

Mogul Nik Strand is all too familiar with the curve balls life likes to throw. Believing his soul can never be restored, he covers his pain and heartbreak with money. The more the better—as his heart is nothing but ice.

Aimee Taylor makes a decision that will haunt her forever. Unfortunately life doesn’t come with a do over; therefore, she makes the best out of what she has.

An unforeseen circumstance brings these two together again, even though, neither can explain how or why the other seems so familiar. As love tries to heal this wounded couple, a common adversary seeks to destroy.

Due to strong language, sexual content, and violence, this is book is intended for 18+.

Excerpt from Branded (Nik)
We entered the penthouse, and I immediately led her towards one of the spare bedrooms. It was a crucial error on my end. How did I expect myself not to touch her when she was under the same roof? The smell of her lured me to her side. As I opened the door for her, I informed, “You can sleep here in the guestroom.” She was so weary I wasn’t sure she’d make it to the bed. When she stumbled over her own two feet, I clutched her elbow to keep her from faceplanting onto the floor. My God, she was beautiful. I had to divert my gaze before I did something impetuous.

Her eyes were heavy as she curled up under the covers. As I turned off the lamp on the nightstand, she grabbed my hand. “Stay. Please?” she slurred.

Oh, hell no. I did not have the strength for that. I brushed my fingertips along her cheekbone. “I’ll be right here, little one,” I reassured. “I’m not going anywhere. Rest, now.”
