Our story picks up our characters when they are but teenagers on the cusp of turning to young adulthood. All the insecurities, inhibitions, and frustrations we feel at a time when our hormones are raging and our minds are still too young to fully understand the ramifications of our actions come together here. These characters are so real I wonder if our author was inspired by real life characters.
The love letters she writes to him... the love letters he learns to write to her... you will melt when you read them. The depth of emotion is tangible on every page. Not the sappy kind, but the kind that simmers for a long time and bursts into flame when finally given enough oxygen to explode to full force.
I don't want to give too much away because I really believe you need to enjoy the journey our author has designed here. Just know there is such a thing as a forever love. Decisions we make when we are young and, yes sometimes stupid, can do irreparable damage to our lives. Knowing when to fight for what we love, no matter how impossible it may seem, is always worth the effort.
Nothing is guaranteed in life. If we take charge we can be the architects of our own destiny.
