There are rocker bad boys and then there is Declan Collins. In the first installment of this series Surrendering, Declan and Raven's love affair absolutely won my heart. Their love affair is both tempestuous as well as passionately tender.

A well written story, this second book is actually more brilliantly written than the first. The range of emotions I experienced as Raven worked through her insecurities and assessment of her feelings for Declan, were all over. Raven's journey from a young insecure woman to a mature goddess is one worth experiencing.

In the end, this series depicts the power true love has on us humans. It has the power to change us, to direct us to the right path in life, and finally to engulf us with powerful emotions to thrill us.

Ahren spent her formative years living in an active volcano. There her family made collectible lava art. She studied rock collecting at the Sorbonne in France. There she met the love of her life-her pet pig Sybil. She returned to the states and started writing. She is happily married to a guy who used to live under a bridge and she met while pole-dancing.
