REVIEW

This is the first book in the series by Lila and the story of Nellie, who is a tough chick with ever changing hair color on the outside and a sweet girl on the inside. Nellie is the captain of the roller derby team and a girl who can hold her own, because she has had to.

Owen a tall, dark and handsome, tattoos and piercings the typical bad boy image but we don’t get the bad boy we get a sweet guy who loves his family and has come to realize what is important in his life.

Nellie worked hard went to school and was the captain of the Roller Derby team, trying to be the person she feels she should be since her Ex thought she was too nice and left her for her friend back in High school.

Owen also betrayed by an Ex has turned himself over to the dark side by his appearance but the boy behind the tattoos and piercings is still the Owen his family loves.

When you put these two together they make an awesome couple. They have to learn to trust not only love but trust themselves to let go of the past and trust their own heart. This is a really good start to the series. Lila Felix has introduced us to not only Nellie and Owen but the wonderful Black family.

I have to say that I think this book has all the elements of a good book, it is a introduction to an amazing family that everyone would love to have in their lives and the friends and relationships that start. Lila Has a way of making a story have realistic elements to it and I think that is what catches my eye and my heart more when I read her stories.

Can she accept his love or will it end up smothering her?

Review

Lila Felix has done it again! Her stories are amazing and I couldn't put it down!

One thing I love about Lila is that she always brings in a real issue into her stories. This story is Reed and Falcon's story.... Reed a girl who comes into town and snags a job at Nellie's bookstore but she has her secrets a very real secret and her pride. Falcon the workaholic Black brother, who goes to school and works the books for both his parents business and Nellie's.

Reed a girl who spent many years in foster care after her parents death turned 18 and her life would NEVER be the same.

Falcon the money man of the Black Family with his Mohawk, Tattoos and piercings doesn't fit the accountant mold, but he loves his family and when he loves he loves hard. It took one look and he was hooked on Reed..... with her Orange hair and her secrets in tow.

I fell in love with Falcon the type of guy he is, he is a lover and a protector and WILL do whatever is needed to make sure your safe. I so could have used a Falcon in my life when I was 18!!!

I just can't say enough about Lila Felix and her stories. I love her writing style and she writes such SWOON worthy guys!! Now I am off to read all about Maddox and get some more Nellie and Owen, Falcon and Reed!!!
