BLURB
It was Easter Sunday; the day Lilly's life went from safe and comfortable to dangerously unfamiliar. Her transformation takes her from a small town girl having an affair with a low ranked gangster in the Montiago crime syndicate, to a woman of grace and fortitude married to the head of the organization. Easter's Lilly is an inspired journey from the idyllic to the darker side of self-discovery. Read as the over-privileged brothers embark on their journey that twists and turns down the road of unbridled passion in this first book of the series.
REVIEW
This story was fast paced and kept me up all night long! I cannot begin to explain how the author pulled me in, left me breathless and kept me wanting more. The cover art is fitting for the story. The title speaks for itself once you read the book. I couldn't put the book down after getting into the story and ended up loving the characters as the story played out.
Not even her father, the chief of police, can keep Lilly away from Johnny Malone. One night of passion and Lilly finds her life has taken an unexpected turn for the worse. Johnny's not coming back and now she's faced with a marriage proposal her life may very well depend on. Although as sexy as her husband may be, she finds he leaves her alone while he runs the family business. As the days go by and the nights grow colder she finds herself spending more and more time with her bodyguard.
While assigned to protect Lilly at all cost by his very own brother, Maxwell finds he cannot protect her from himself. As each day passes their relationship grows stronger. The uncertainty in his brother's eyes sends a chill up his spine. He cannot ignore his brother's verbal accusations when they turn into emotional and physical abuse. His heart breaks each day his baby girl endures the pain and suffering his brother puts her through.
Diego knows he's lost Lilly's heart but he's unwilling to let her go so easily. To prove how he's changed he doesn't force himself upon her, abuse or neglect her anymore. Instead he allows her to come to him in the night with the intent of starting a family. Can he win her heart before it's too late, or will Lilly find a way to change her fate?
