The Underworld is the sequel to The Fallen Star.

Gemma thought her mind was gone, but she was wrong. And now she is left trying to figure out the truth to what Stephan is planning to do with her and the star, before it’s too late.

But finding out the truth is hard, especially since Gemma doesn’t know who she can trust. There may be only one person who Gemma can turn to for answers, but that means having to go to the one place no one wants to go—The Underworld.

Review

Loving this series!  From start to finish, glued to the pages, lack of sleep and can't get enough.  Gemma is growing on me.  Not sure whether to trust Alex or not.  Stephan is just plain evil.  Finding out the truth about her entire existence one piece at a time, from this person and that is hard.

Gemma must go to The Underworld so she can speak to Jocelyn and get the answers she needs.  She doesn't want to bring Alex into it but trusts Laylen and formulates a plan.  Failing at getting the answers she needs, the last person she cares to turn to is Alex.  He has answers she needs though so she must trust him enough to get her to The Underworld, find Jocelyn and get back without dying.

What answers await Gemma floored me.  I couldn't believe the twist in this book.  The author knows how to pull you in.  This is one series you don't want to pass up.  I may just have to mark this series as a favorite and come back again to take the journey with Gemma, Alex, Layden, Ailsin and even Nicholas again.
