My Review:
Girls Love Travis Walker by Anne Pfeffer is a fantastic book. It is a heart warming story and had my attention from the very beginning.
Travis Walker is a nineteen year old handsome young man whose life has been turned upside down. His father is in prison and mother is sick. He is trying to take care of himself and his mother as best as he can. With his mother being sick and not working, Travis has to be the man of the house and figure out how to pay the bills, keep food in the apartment and a roof over their head. They are financially struggling to keep ends meet. He decides to drop out of school so he can find a full time job and bring in a paycheck to be able to pay the rent and bills.
Travis’s difficult journey has begun. He has a very long road ahead of him. Will Travis be able to stay strong and help him and his mom get through their situation?
As I was reading this book, my heart was breaking in pieces for Travis and what he is going through. I could feel the rollercoaster of his emotions.
Anne Pfeffer is an awesome author and she has done a fantastic job. It is the first book I have read from her and I am looking forward to reading more of her writing in the future. I definitely recommend this book to my friends.
I give this book 5 Dandy's!!
