A Day In The Life of Alexia Purdy….

You really want to know what this author does every day? Okay then. I personally am the most boring person you know. But for kicks, here goes. A typical summer day:

7:00am I snap awake, a horrid feeling creeps in that I’m late for work. Wait…I don’t work at the hospital anymore, I work from home. Yaay! *Try to go back to sleep*

7:05am My son stands in front of my by the bed waving his undies in my face to help him put it back on since he went to the potty. Eww. Then he demands my phone so he can play games on it. For some peace and quiet, I comply.

7:20am My other son jumps onto the bed, and snuggles next to me. He wants a hug and snuggles into bed with me playing and blasting his little Mobi-go game next to my ear as he relaxes. I sigh and give up on sleep.

7:30am Make breakfast and check emails and about 200 Facebook notifications. Like, wow, how did I get so many?

8:30am Yes it’s taken that long to go through all of it and reply or download stuff I need to do. Onward to either writing or reading or procrastinate more on Facebook.

9:30am I’m tired again. Hit the caffeine. (A.K.A. soda. I hate coffee) and tinker on Facebook some more. Get jumped on a million times by my two little demon spawn.

10:30am My oldest kids waltz in, demanding breakfast. Alrighty then.

11:30am Actually get some writing or reading done or…go shopping for much needed food/supplies/pay bills etc.

12:30-1pm Start lunch, trying to eat healthier, so I make it fresh. I hate cooking, what a bore.

1:30pm Clean up the mess the demon spawn left on the table.

2:00pm Tuck the demon spawn into bed for a nice nap (Yeah right). The little ones I mean. Attempt either a nap/shower/to write/read or slack off on Facebook some more.

3:00pm Head to take a nap, I’m soooo tired and delirious by now.

4:00pm Get jumped on by one of the two younger demon spawn, who demand my phone again to play games. Get up cuz they won’t let me sleep. They demand a Drink/snack/to watch their favorite show/to go to the park. It’s always something!

5pm Get onto computer, work on cover art or writing.

6pm Kids demand Dinner time. Geez I feel like I just fed them.

7pm Clean up the mess the demon spawn turned dinner into.

8pm Bath time, dip those dirty little people into the tub to soak for an hour. Get half soaked myself from their wild play time in tub.

9pm Check email and Notifications again, how did it turn into 180 in just 3 hours? Ugh!

10pm Tuck the demon spawn into bed after they delay it a thousand times. Sigh.

10:20pm Sit down to write, Finally some peace!

12:00am. Feeling sleepy but don’t want to stop. Yet I check Facebook again (Addict!). Everyone is asleep. Procrastinate and work on either: Cover art, outline, Some other story I shouldn’t focus on, answer some messages about needing help as an author from a newbie, flip through kindle to read one of 10 books I’m reading.

1:00am Attempt to lie down and sleep.

1:45am Get up, can’t sleep. Work on story some more.

3:00am Lie back down to sleep. Stare at ceiling for at least 30 minutes. Damn you Insomnia!

7am It begins once more….

Synopsis

Sometimes the one who broke your heart, needs the most saving.

Piper Sandervale never thought she’d see Sasha Koval ever again. Not since he took her heart, ripped it out and obliterated it from existence. Now, six years have passed and she has run into him once more at the local fairgrounds in Las Vegas. He desperately wants another chance, and he’d do anything to get her back. She’s willing to give him a taste of his own medicine, if this is her chance for payback. But, will she find herself way in over her head?
