I thought I would share a few pins from Never Let You Fall. Some of these helped keep my juices flowing and others I found after the fact. If you read the book please feel free to share pins that might remind you of scenes from Never Let You Fall. I love hearing from readers!
Can't start a Pinterest post without my main character muse's...
Xander and Skye
Xander and Skye
This picture inspired the type of 'safe' feeling that Skye was looking for when she was with Xander. The caption on the picture when I found it was- "I know I'm safe with you" --->
<--- I actually find this one kind of funny.
This was my idea of Rioden. I'm
not saying he really looks like this but this picture of Hugh Jackman from Van
Helsing gives that overall feeling of assassin warrior.
In NLYF Skye seems to spend a good bit of time in forests. This one is
what I envisioned in the beginning of the book when she is walking down a
trail and runs into some 'company' -->
There is a scene in the Enchanted Forest with a sparkly gold
feather bush (yep, that's a technical term). I found this picture and
loved it! --->
<--- This here is my vision of Selene. Notice how her dress flows in the
wind and almost looks like it is alive? It is very magical just like
she is.
<--- Where does this lead???
One of my favorite pictures came to me one day when I was browsing
Pinterest after I had written the book. I was looking for a 'face' for
my demons aka Semvon. The picture was just puuuurrrrfect! --->
Excerpt describing the Semvon:
It was like seeing one of those hologram cards you got in a cereal box, where you hold it one way and there was a smiling face, but when you turned it the other way, the face was sad. The man who stood before me fluttered between human and monster. I froze, as my eyes took in another slight shimmer, and my breath caught in my throat.
In his human state, he looked like just another suit on his way home from work: handsome, but nothing totally remarkable. He wore a dark business suit and carried a briefcase. Except that he wasn’t - not really.
It was an illusion.
His true side showed a shadow with no real clothing, just a pitch-black figure with a gruesome flat face. Everything about the creature was black and sort of willowy, like smoke, except for its glowing red eyes.
It was the eyes that sparked the true terror in me. I had seen those eyes. They were probably the only thing in this world I truly feared anymore. They’d been haunting me all my life, and it was those eyes that finally nudged me from my frozen state.

This is what I called the 'sad princess' it's a bit of how I see Skye.
I'll throw in a fun fact for your too. Pinterest is actually how I found my book cover! I found a picture that I just died over as cover art for some unknown work in progress and began scrolling through that photographers other pictures. My cover girl, Madalyn, was on the photographers blog and I just loved her face. The rest is, as they say, history!
Thanks for checking out some of my inspiration pics! Keep an eye out of my Pinterest page for more pics from Never Let You Fall!

Xander has been tasked with watching Skye from afar for the past two years, in order to keep her safe from the demons that hunt her. An easy job - until a pair of red glowing eyes reveal themselves to Skye, and Xander, in a moment of weakness, is forced to break his cover to protect her.
Never good at trusting people, Skye is inexplicably drawn to Xander and the immediate bond she feels for him. However, Xander is filled with secrets and ties to her past that threaten to thrust Skye into a world she could never imagine existed…
As she begins to unravel the truth about who Xander is and the details surrounding her family, she discovers that she might just be the key to saving everything...
And, most importantly, she finds that there has always been someone by her side who would never let her fall…
Excerpt
Whirling quickly, I grabbed Skye’s hand and pulled her along; keeping one hand in my jacket, wrapped about my dagger in case of danger.
“Come on! His car is down a few blocks and we need to hurry.”
“Xander, what is he doing? What’s wrong?” she asked, as she practically ran to keep up with me, her hand squeezing mine tightly.
After a moment my hand was yanked backwards, and Skye stood there in the street, mulishly looking at me. I glared at her questioningly and she began to verbally flay me. “Xander! What is he doing? Where are we going?”
“He’s trying to protect us Skye! Protecting YOU! We need to go now before they find us!” I snapped. I continued to try pulling her along, but she wasn’t having it.
“No! You can’t just leave him there to fight those things by himself! Go help him!”
“Damn it, Skye! He told me to leave. You heard him, and he also told you to listen to me and you said you would. We have to go NOW! There aren’t just Semvon back there, but men - trained men - and I…” The truth crashed down, causing my shoulders to fall as I admitted the truth to her. “Skye, I don’t think I can win against them. That’s why he wants us to run.”
About the Author
Having grown up in both the cold, quiet town of Topsham, Maine and the steamy, southern hospitality of Mobile, Alabama, Michele is something of a enigma. She is an avid Yankees fan, loves New England, being outdoors and misses snow. However she thinks southern boys are hotter, Alabama football is the only REAL football out there and sweet tea is the best thing this side of heaven and her children’s laughter!
Her family, a doting husband and three awesome minions, have planted their roots in the middle of Michele’s two childhood homes in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Never Let You Fall is Michele’s first novel and she is beyond thrilled to have finally followed up on a dream she has held for over 20 years! God willing there will be many many more books to follow.
