What Inspired Me to Write My Book
Taeh goes to the Vet, the very first one I had published is based on an actual event, we were walking our Dalmatian Taeh and she smelt a flower, got a seed stuck up her nose and had to be rushed to the vet.
When we got there Taeh was so scared and timid, trying everything she could to hide behind my legs, in a way Taeh reminded me of my youngest daughter, when she was younger she was in and out of hospital, going from one doctor’s appointment to another, having painful injections every month and even though she was putting on a brave face I knew she was terrified, at that time there were no books out there to read to my daughter that she could relate to and after seeing Taeh and remembering my daughter I knew I had to write something that parent’s could read to their children to help them understand that while being afraid was natural that they didn’t have to fear the doctor’s… it was definitely my dog and daughters who inspired me to write my book.
BLURB
In the first of many humorous books in this series we see through the eyes of Taeh the Dalmatian as she tries to conquer her fear of the vet. Come along on this adventure and see what awaits her. See as she tries to outwit her pets (humans) as they have a battle of wills to see who will triumph. Once read you will be hooked on Taeh's adventures and want to read more in the Taeh the Dalmatian series.
REVIEW
Taeh Goes to the Vet is a book that children six to ten years old would like to read. Taeh is a very cute dalmatian. His character was quite funny. He had me giggling throughout the book with his comments and how he acted.
The story starts out at Taeh's home, when he wants to go for a walk. His owner takes him for a walk and he sniffs a flower causing him to get a flower seed up his nose! At this point he starts sneezing like crazy! His owner has to take him to the vet.
Does Taeh want to go to the vet? NOOOOO!!!! Will Taeh get out of going to the vet by cowering in the corner? NOOOOO!!!! Do you think Taeh likes the vet? NOOOO!!! To find out more about Taeh, you have to read this funny book about his trip to the vet.
I would recommend this book to other children my age and give it a 5 star review.
