Imagine if the balance between Light and Darkness was influenced by a single eclipse that continuously returned? How could the cycle be broken, if each time it occurred, the contrasting war between the two elements would once again rage?

When Bayu recognises himself as the Lu-Sy, a human chosen to receive the powers of the Goddess Eblas, there’s only one thing he knows for certain- he must save his people from an eternity of Darkness.

As his life is thrown into chaos, Bayu finds himself fighting for not only his people, but also those who choose to fight alongside him. His sister Nima who means everything to him, stays by his side, though will he be able to protect her?

Light and Darkness will clash.
It will be gin once more…. War!

Excerpt

The stench of dead and rotting flesh pierced the air. The blood that had escaped from the countless bodies had dried up, leaving dark red patches covering the floor below their feet. All was silent, apart from the faint taps of their shoes against the marble steps that led to the base of the temple. They headed straight to the entrance.

As Kira and Lorrie met at the entrance gate that stood proudly above them, they saw the others all stood in a group, watching and waiting for the Ori to appear from its hiding place. They all held their specifically designed weapons as Kira and Nima readied to use their magic.

Kira focused her senses. “It’s here…somewhere. I can sense its power pulsing from its body, high up from where it watches us, waiting to attack.” Nima closed her eyes to focus on its presence trying to detect where the monster sat, waiting for the chance to strike.

The silence broke as three loud separate noises filled the air. Bayu increased his grip, looking up waiting for his chance to engage in battle. Three large gusts of wind blew into them. Taken unaware, the group were blown across the ground with the exception of Bayu who had kneeled onto the floor and dug his sword vertically into the ground in front of him, offering him extra support against the wind blowing against his skin. Lorrie was thrust into Zeor and both of them were blown into the temple wall behind them. As the wind died down, Kira lowered the protective force that she had conjured to protect her and Nima.

Glancing around quickly, Bayu checked on the others. Standing up and pulling his sword free from the earth below his feet, Bayu tensed his body as a slight breeze built up around them. Suddenly, a huge eagle descended before them, staring with evil intent through its piercing red eyes. Landing before him, the eagle screeched loudly. The others stood behind ready to fight.

About the Author
I was born in Shropshire in the West Midlands in 1991 where I am still currently living, growing up alongside one younger and three older brothers.

Books and writing was an interest that I began to develop from the first years of secondary school, and on my thirteenth birthday, I began to plan and design the idea to write a fantasy novel. I finished secondary school with high GCSE's and then went on into further education to study English and all aspects of art and design. After six years of writing, planning and overall editing of the book, it was successfully completed, containing over 82,000 words, and self published in the first week of 2011.

With high expectations in myself, I immediately began to write a second novel in the series, while keeping my art and design a part of the process. The achievement of completing the first novel 'Purest Light,' allowed the ideas of the second to flow much easier and it was completed by early 2012. As I was writing the third and final book, New Beginnings, at the same time, the series was finished by its publication in 2012/ 13.

Writing is now a part of my everyday and I have started on my newest project, Shadows, which is also planned to be the first of three. Only time will tell.
