Love’s Second Chance
By: L.P. Dover
Other Blog Tour Dates
A) I had spent a couple of years contemplating on writing a book. After talking to several authors and knowing that it could be done I decided to try and give it a whirl. It is hard work, but I love it.
A) I had always loved the fae, so I knew from the very beginning that if I did write anything it would be about faerie creatures. Ideas come from everywhere really ... in my mind, pictures, movies, books, etc. For Love’s Second Chance my ideas came from bits and pieces of my own life. It was easier to write, but it was also more emotional.
Q) Is there a message in your novel/novels that you want readers to grasp?
A) That love and courage will always surpass evil. That would be my message from my fae books, but for Love’s Second Chance, it would be ... no matter the tragedies in our lives, there is always the love and determination of others that’ll help us get through.
A) Yes, I would love to say how thankful I am to all of my readers and that I wouldn’t have made it anywhere without them. I appreciate all of their support and love.
A) The research is the most tedious part of writing. I had to do a lot of research for my fae series, but for my Second Chances series not so much. My thing about writing stories is I like to put my own twist on things. I want my books to be different so when it involves the fae creatures I like to come up with my own twists about them.
Interview with L.P. Dover:
Q) What inspired you to write your first book?
A) I had spent a couple of years contemplating on writing a book. After talking to several authors and knowing that it could be done I decided to try and give it a whirl. It is hard work, but I love it.
Q) Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?

Q) Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
A) Yes, I would love to say how thankful I am to all of my readers and that I wouldn’t have made it anywhere without them. I appreciate all of their support and love.
Q) What were the challenges (research, literary, psychological, and logistical) in bringing your characters to life?
A) The research is the most tedious part of writing. I had to do a lot of research for my fae series, but for my Second Chances series not so much. My thing about writing stories is I like to put my own twist on things. I want my books to be different so when it involves the fae creatures I like to come up with my own twists about them.
Q) Who is your favourite hero/heroine/character from your own books? What about of all time?
A) My favourite so far would be Meliantha from Betrayals of Spring. She’s very strong, and a kick ass female who will fight to the death for those she loves. However, Calista would be my favourite of all time. She was my first female heroine, and has made a special place in my heart. She reminds me of me sometimes.

Q) If you could have take one of your book boyfriends out on a date in the real world, who would it be & where would you go?
A) Oh my goodness, I would love to take all of my book boyfriends out! From my books, I would have to say Galen from Love’s Second Chance. He’s strong, smart, and full of love. I would have to steal him away from Korinne first, but I know I could detain her for a while.

Synopsis:
Korinne Anders had it all. She had the perfect job, the perfect house, and the perfect husband. When tragedy strikes, her world takes a devastating turn. Six months after losing her husband to a car accident, Korinne vows it to herself never to love again. If she doesn’t allow another man in her heart, then there’s no reason for her to feel the pain of loss. This plan seems to work, but is put to the test when Korinne’s best friend can’t stand to see her suffering any longer.
Korinne’s long-time friend, Jenna Perry, has an idea and it involves helping her friend find the spark of life in her soul no matter what it takes. Korinne didn’t know that Jenna’s plan meant bringing back a past love, a second chance with the man that Korinne had to leave in college, but always kept a place for in her heart.
When Galen Matthews learns of Korinne’s loss and that she’s finally moved back home, he wants nothing more than to be there for her. The love he felt for Korinne years ago has never left him, and now he’s given a second chance to not only mend her heart of her loss, but to also continue the love they shared in the past. Will his love and determination make her strong enough to give fate a second chance, or will her fear of losing another love make her run away?
What will Korinne do when she’s faced with a love so powerful that no matter what she does there’s nowhere to run from it?
Review:
Korinne is a beautiful young woman who has gone through a terrible tragedy in her life. She has lost her husband in an accident and has been an emotional wreck. The memory of their lives together is too much for her to handle, so she leaves to go back to her hometown and stay with her parents for awhile. She needs some time to heal from the pain of losing someone special in her life.
After staying with her parents for a while, Korinne moves back to North Carolina so she can start her life and career with a new beginning. Not long after moving back, her college best friend, Jenna, pays her a visit and invites her to a party. Korinne finds out that the party she is attending is thrown by her ex college boyfriend, Galen. It has been a very long time since she has seen him... Is she ready to see him again? Will Korinne be able to open her heart to love again?
Galen is a very handsome young man who has taken over his father’s business. When he finds out his ex college girlfriend, Korinne recently moved back to town, he gets excited. He cannot wait to see her again... Has his love he shared with her in college ever gone away?.
Korinne and Galen have a history together and this is where their journey begins. Will Korinne be able to accept Galen back in her life? Is her love for Galen still there?
As I was reading, I felt the emotional rollercoaster that Korinne was going through with the loss of someone and the love for both men.
L.P. Dover has done an awesome job writing Love’s Second Chance. I am really looking forward to reading more of her books in the future. I definitely recommend this book to my friends.
I give it 5 Dandy's!!
Author Bio:
“I am an avid reader that loves my collection of books. Writing has always been a passion of mine and now I am glad that I get to share my passion with the world. I live in North Carolina and I absolutely love being a southern girl. I spent several years in college starting out with a major in Psychology and then switching to dental. I worked in the dental field for eight years and then decided to stay home with my two beautiful girls. I spent the beginning of my reading years reading suspense thrillers, but now I can't get away from the paranormal/fantasy books. I knew ever since then that if I wrote anything it would be in a paranormal aspect. Now that I have started on my passion and began writing, you will not see me go anywhere without a notebook and pen.”
