Review:
I am feeling so much after just finishing Awakened. I am sad, angry, hopeful...wow what an ending. I am dying to know what happens next! How could you leave me hanging like that?
Awakened starts where Few Are Angels leaves off. Ella has been taken to Laurent and held captive. Alex, Mia, Kale and Jace have to figure out how they can rescue her. Kale is having a difficult time working with Jace and two humans. All he wants to do is save Ella, but can he with La Luxore threatening to destroy him? I felt so bad for Kale. He wants to be with Ella, but fears he can never be safe or good enough for her. I just want to hug him.
Laurent trains Ella on how to use her powers and tells her the truth of how her parents died. I want to smack him up side his head for the cruelty he has shown her and everyone else he has hurt. I felt so relieved when Ella's rescuers arrived, but it was short lived. I found myself in tears. I won't go into any details because I don't want to ruin it for anyone, but I really became emotionally attached to the story and many of the characters. (Kale, sigh)
The ending blindsided me. I never seen it coming. Inger Iverson left us with such a cliffhanger. I kept trying to turn the pages on my kindle in hopes that there would be another chapter that I had missed. I am anxious to see where this story goes in the next book. Please let it come out soon!!
