The Liebster Award

We have been nominated for the Liebster Award by both Aotee & Inx from Inklings of Two Booklings! The Liebster Award is for blogs that have less than 200 followers. We were given 11 questions to answer and were to give 11 facts about ourselves. Finally we had to come up with 11 questions and 11 nominees to answer answer them. Instructions will be repeated at the end of this post.

We will start out with answering the questions we were asked to answer from our nominee.

Julia has also been nominated by Shadows Past Mystery.  Here are Carmen's questions and Julia's answers.

Why did you get into blogging?

I got into blogging for many reasons. First I wanted to have another way to share what I truly love and that is my love for reading and sharing what I read with othesr. Then there is the ultimate way to show off an author's work. Finally I wanted a back up blog for Tours that I have set up and not all of my host follow through with the dates they have chosen.

How did you come up with the name of your blog?

Honestly I'm not quite sure, it just came to me one day and I thought why now. Many people ask if it is due to The Princess Bride and I cannot say that is why, the thought that when an author asks me to read their book and review it for them I tend to think as you wish rather than say I'm overloaded with books to review as it is. lol

Do you have a favorite classical author?

Not really but if I had to choose a classical author it would have to be William Shakespeare.

If you could swap the place with a famous author who would this be?

Oh wow, that is a touchy question because there are so many amazing authors out there now. I would probably pick a number of them... Can we come back to this question later? It's too darn late for me to go looking up names I cannot for the life of me remember how to spell correctly.

If you are a writer, too, which do you prefer best: writing on the blog or writing your book?

I would have to say writing on my blog, though I love to have authors as guests any day of the week, and supply a review for those that I can get to quick enough. I tend to let them take over my page rather than come up with something amazing myself.

How do you feel when rejecting a review request from an author who asks you nicely?

I feel horrible, when I want to reach out and help them all and love reading all of the work they put out there to read. I cannot say that I have denied a review before, maybe passed it on to another but never denied.

How do you decide which book to review?

Well when my time was based on just reading and reviewing it was easy, whatever book I wanted to pick up next would be the book I read and reviewed. I cannot say that every book I read I put out a review for but I did happen to give it stars on Good-reads if I didn't publish a review. So no matter what the stars were published if the review was not.

If you could choose a famous author to cooperate with you for a project who would this be?

Well I'm already working with an author on a project that has given me experience in a field that I never quite dreamed I'd be doing. Doug Dillon has helped me a great deal in building the confidence I have needed to feel I can achieve my dreams. This field of assisting authors and presenting their work to blog hosts has been an amazing journey.

What's your favorite book turned into movie?

I would have to say Song of Ice & Fire so far. You probably thought I would say Twilight or The Hunger Games right? No this is only because the Song of Ice & Fire has seriously gone straight by the book so far in the two seasons I've seen. I just love that I can watch the show and turn the pages in the book and pick up scene for scene right on the money.

What character in a book you've reviewed so far do you hate/love most?

I am in love with the fictional character Jericho Barrons from The Fever Series, then who is not in love with JB? After scrolling through my recently read books, I must say I hate Garrison from the Touch Series.

If your life would become subject in a book what genre would it be: romance, thriller, horror, sci-fi and why?

If my life was a subject in a book then I would have to say a paranormal book because I feel like I have some mood swings that could relate to a shifter, and a few gifts that most would question if ever experienced themselves.
