Meet Piper!

What is your full name? Do you have a nickname?

My full name is Piper Willow. When I was a kid my Dad used to call me 'Willow' for fun.

What do you consider your hair color? Eye color?

I have dishwater blonde hair. I say dishwater because sometimes it's dirty blonde, but after the summer it would be streaked by the sun. And my eyes are dark blue.

How would you describe your own facial features?

Uhg. I have one of those faces where no one in my family could tell if I had my Mom's nose or my Dad's chin. I used to think I was adopted until I realized I have my Dad's hands and feet…like they look EXACTLY like his. Not sure if that means his are feminine or mine are masculine, lol. My eyes always seem too big and haunted and my mouth always looks puffy, like a bee stung my lower lip or something.

Look at your feet. Describe what you see there. Does you wear dress shoes, gym shoes, or none at all? Are your socks that are ratty and full of holes? Or are you wearing a pair of blue and gold slippers knitted by you grandmother?

My feet are knobby and wide and look just like my Dad's. Except for my pinky toe. It's my favorite - delicate and small. I like to be barefoot, but I would have considered putting on a pair of my favorite flip-flops if I knew I'd be spending the rest of eternity walking around the Station in naked feet. You know, I don't think any of my grandmother's knitted.

It’s Saturday at noon. What are you doing? Give details. If you're eating breakfast, what exactly are you eating? If you're stretching out in your backyard to sun, what kind of blanket or towel do you lie on?

When I was alive, I was still in bed at noon on a Saturday. Dad works a lot and my best friend died. There isn't much else to do. Bree and I used to sun tan on our towels or stretch out an old bedsheet. I miss those days. A lot.

Your getting ready for a night out. Where are you going? What are you wearing? Who are you going out with?

Um, I didn't really go out a lot but if I did it was to hit up the bookstore so I would most likely be wearing my cut off jean shorts and a tank. It's always hot in San Diego. And Bree, though she didn't like to read as much as I did, she would walk through the bookstore with me and talk to all the cute guys. God, do I miss her.

Do you have a birthmark? Where is it? What about scars? How did you get them?

I have a small scar on the top of my left hand. I got it from making my bed when I was fourteen. There was a spring sticking out the bottom and it sliced right into the top of my hand. Of course it would leave a scar. Just my luck.

Where was you born? Where have you lived since then? Where do you call home?

I was born and raised in San Diego. I miss the ocean SO much. Even in the winter you can wear shorts there. I only owned like three pairs of jeans. The rest of my wardrobe was for summer time.

Hey. My name's Sloan Nash and that's all I've ever really been called, I guess.

What do you consider your hair color? Eye color?

Well, I've got my Mom's dark hair and her light blue eyes. Girls always say they love my eyes. Not sure why - I mean, they're just EYES, right?

How would you describe your own facial features?

Hmm. I don't know? I have a lot of angles, which I hate when I'm trying to shave. But other than that, I guess it's a normal guy face.

What is in your refrigerator right now? On your bedroom floor? On you nightstand? In your garbage can?

Ha! Not much. But I did go on a bit of a health-kick this year so you might find something healthy in their like low fat yogurt or fruit salad. Please ignore the old cheese, I've been meaning to get rid of that, sorry.

What the hell is 'spring cleaning'?

What is one strong memory that has stuck with you from childhood? Why is it so powerful and lasting?

Playing baseball with my little brother. He died a few years ago and I miss him a lot still.

Where does you go when you get angry?

I go home. Where no one can piss me off.

Have you ever been in love? Had a broken heart?

I've recently discovered what real love is. My heart aches when I'm not around this girl and aches even more when she's standing right next to me. She has the most amazing big eyes and a mouth that…well, I'll save that for my own private thoughts. Love is complicated, as it should be, right? Because if it was easy, well, we wouldn't be so afraid to lose it.
