Haven still blames Ever for the death of her boyfriend Roman, no matter how hard Ever’s tried to convince her it was an accident. Now she’s determined to take Ever down…and destroy Damen and Jude along the way. Her first step is to tear Ever and Damen apart—and she has just the ammunition to do it.

Hidden in one of Ever’s past lives is a terrible secret about Damen—a secret that illuminates new facts about her relationship with Jude, but that’s so dark and brutal it might be enough to drive her and Damen apart once and for all. As Ever faces her greatest fears about the guy she wants to spend eternity with, she’s thrust into a deadly clash with Haven that could destroy them all.

Now it’ll take everything she’s got—and bring out powers she never knew she had—to face down her most formidable enemy. But in order to win, she must first ask herself: is her own survival worth dooming Haven to an eternity of darkness in the Shadowland? And will learning the truth about Damen’s past hold the key to their future?

Review

Well they are getting closer to getting what they want but now Haven's trying to come between Ever and Damen.  When Haven figures out what they want she does almost everything to keep it from happening, even if it means killing.  That just sounds like Haven but Ever does what she needs to do about her.  Almost done with this series!!!

Blog Tour of Forever Baby by Ellie Wade

Title: Forever Baby
Author: Ellie Wade
Genre: Contemporary R omance
Release Date:  May 13, 2014

Olivia Marshall is nervous as she embarks on a study abroad program to Spain with her best friend Nolan. Besides the obvious new adventure of living in a foreign country for the summer; there is something else bothering her. A familiar unsettling feeling resonates within and she can’t decipher the significance of it.

Spain turns out to be more of an experience than Olivia had imagined. She meets Andres, a mysteriously gorgeous guy who takes her places she has never been. Her newfound loves brings all of her insecurities to the surface causing her to question everything. She fights the negativity in her head that refuses to let her find happiness.

Despite her flaws Andres seems to love her, but she can’t truly accept it. What is real? What is an illusion? If something seems too good to be true it usually is. How does Olivia hold onto the best thing to ever happen to her if she can’t trust it? Or does someone else already have her heart?

After Olivia leaves the fantasy world of Spain behind she has choices to make that will change the outcome of her future. It isn’t until those choices are made that she understands the ramifications of her actions, but at this point…is it too late?

ANDRES

He looks at me with an intense, tortured expression. “I need to be inside you now, baby. I need to feel you,” he says as he picks me up, holding me by my ass cheeks. I circle my legs around him as he leans me against the wall. Without hesitation, he slams into me, gloriously filling me to my center. I scream again, letting my head fall against the wall. Our eyes lock as he regards me with an intensity that resonates to my core. He takes me with a fiery need that can only be quenched through this forceful animalistic connection we have.

OLIVIA

As you read in the Synopsis for this book, this is a love triangle. Olivia and Nolan have been inseparable friends for the last 3 years.  Andres is the man she meets in Barcelona, Spain while doing a Summer Exchange Student Program.  Tough choice here!

This book takes us through the journey Livi undertakes to grow into the person she wants to be.  No more sabotaging relationships because she fears rejection.  No more self doubt as to her self worth and esteem.  One Summer in Spain and finding love with Andres is all she needs to realize her life has been turned upside down and she must face her short comings.

For a college age book, this book is remarkable and intelligent.  I seldom read books of this nature but the synopsis for this one intrigued me.  I am so glad the author created these intelligent, stable and empathetic characters.  Usually these books just deal with their immaturity.  Not this book.  It deals with the real life struggle of that passage from reckless teenager to mature young adult with heartfelt sensitivity. Definitely recommended with a box of tissues on the side.

Review of Love, Lex (The Undergrad Years #1) by Avery Aster

Title: Love, Lex (The Undergrad Years #1)
Author: Avery Aster
Genre:New Adult Contemporary Romance
Length: 218 pages
Release Date:  April 14, 2014

This summer, I’d planned to celebrate my eighteenth birthday in Europe with my fellow Manhattanites—Taddy Brill, Blake Morgan, and Vive Farnworth—until I caught my boyfriend screwing my mother. According to the police report, this vomit-inducing incident happened around the same time I’d supposedly blown-up my mother’s penthouse. Like I’m walking around Soho with a stick of dynamite in my Louis Vuitton purse—not! Now, my besties and I are in jail.

Officer Ford Gotti, the Harley-wheelin’ biker cop who arrested us, keeps sticking his perfectly-sculpted nose into my case. His inked body is jacked like a superhero, and he says I can trust him. He wants me to fess up. I won’t. Not again. Why should I? My friends and I had a previous stint in juvie that nearly destroyed us. I gotta protect them and keep my mouth shut. Right? —Lex Easton, women’s studies major, motorcycle enthusiast, and virgin.

The Undergrad Years is a New Adult contemporary miniseries about first loves, independence, and everlasting friendships.

Reader warning: Contains mature content intended for readers 17 and up.

If you are a fan of Avery Aster's series The Manhattanites, this book is a must read. If you have not discovered this series yet and you love reading New Adult and Erotic Romance stories... what are you waiting for? The Manhattanites and the Undergrad Series are DEFINITELY for readers over 18 years of age!

These stories deal with 3 friends - Lex, Vive and Taddy - raised in opulence, privilege, and very dysfunctional families. One more friend completes this band of friends - Blake - who has terrific, supportive parents, but he is gay and just out of the closet. Their teenage years were difficult and full of serious obstacles. Through it all, their pact to be forever friends holds them together with each others support. They are not complete without all four of them holding tight. And the obstacles just keep on coming!

Our author has a unique approach to these characters. I can only describe it as "tongue in cheek with empathy". The writing style is lighthearted with an undercurrent of the horror of growing up with famous or rich selfish parents. These characters have actually helped each other learn about life and mature. Sometimes their influence on each other has proven to get them in more trouble than they bargained for. Through this bizarre learning process, they are hanging in there by their nails, always looking to do better and dealing with the pressures and results of their decisions the best way they know how... some with alcohol, others with drugs, and mostly with sex.

In The Undergrad Series, we come to find out how each of our characters was initiated in the ways of love and life. This first installment will keep you riveted as you experience Lex's 18th birthday and the events that made that birthday one she will never forget.

Pre-Order Promo and Giveaway for Who Wants to Marry a Doctor by Abigail Sharpe

Title:  Who Wants to Marry a Doctor
Author: Abigail Sharpe
Release Date:  July 1, 2014

The Doctor Is In . . .

As a single mom and pediatrician, Sabrina Bankhead doesn’t have time for romance. All that changes when she reluctantly agrees to take part in a dating show fundraiser for a children’s hospital. But once she sets eyes on the journalist hired to cover the show, none of the four contestants stand a chance. If she doesn’t choose one of the eligible bachelors, the hospital doesn’t raise a cent. What’s a lovestruck doc to do?

Investigative journalist Quinn Donnelly is on the mend after an assignment in Afghanistan left him both physically and emotionally scarred. Though he’s itching to return overseas and finish his story, he’ll have to be content with this fluff piece assignment to cover a local dating show.

One-night stands are Quinn’s forte-but after he meets Sabrina, he’s ready to say yes for the long haul. After years of chasing the next big story, Quinn is starting to wonder if maybe home really can be where the heart is . . .

"I just called to…” Sabrina's words jammed in her throat. No way could she admit that she just wanted to hear his voice.

Thankfully he didn’t make her finish her sentence. “I’m glad you called.” The gruff in his voice was still there, but it had changed to something softer, sending a little thrill down her body.

“You are?” Was that low, throaty sound coming from her?

“Yeah. I missed you tonight.”

A niggling feeling centered in her brain and sent stabs of doubt to her heart. I missed you sounded good, but maybe he just missed his bed warmer. “Missed me?”
