Review

I loved this series!!!  The way Jessica's writing flows and grabbed my attention from the very beginning.  The series never let up and had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.  The twists and turns throughout the whole series only picks up more in this installment.  I couldn't put the book down and loved every minute of it!  I enjoyed how she weaved the supernatural world and her paranormal characters are amazingly well written.  Gemma's great and I fell in love with her character from the beginning, relating to her past and I was completely entranced by Alex and her friends were just awesome.  I'm excited and can't wait to read more by Jessica Sorensen!!

Julia: Wyatt, let’s start with the hard questions. You say you’ve seen zombies…in the flesh? It’s rather hard to imagine.
 
Wyatt: Not if you’ve seen one. One of the soldiers in my battalion died…or should have. It was dark. Gunfire and cannons pounded the night, splintering trees and lighting up the air. That boy was hit square in the middle. No living after that. No. He shouldn’t have lived.

Julia: But he did…live?

Wyatt: I don’t know that you can call it living, but he moved sure enough. I don’t really want to talk about it.

Julia: But you once told me that the world needed to know. How can we tell the world if you won’t share the details?

Wyatt: Okay. Okay. I can get through this. This boy--he walked just like you and me, but his mind was gone, and he ate from the dead. Bullets didn’t kill him. He just got right back up again. Makes me shudder to remember.

Julia: You’ve been pretty vocal about the past. But it didn’t just happen there.

Wyatt: No, no, it didn’t. We have a problem with the walking dead here in Red Bluff. I’m working on a solution. What with Ralph missing and the Clayton gang on the run, I’ve got my hands full. But my job is to keep this town safe, and that’s what I intend to do.

Julia: That’s a noble thought. What are you afraid of?

Wyatt: That moment at twilight when the sky is almost dark; the sound of dogs eating; being alone for the rest of my life.

Julia: Not of death?

Wyatt: I never thought to survive the war. But here I am. No, I’m not afraid of death, but what comes after sends a chill running up and down my spine. I’m terrified that I’ll turn into a monster, that I’ll lose my mind.

Julia: And what would you say to someone passing through?

Wyatt: I’d say keep on going and don’t look back for anything. Speaking of which, it’s still early. You don’t have to stay the night here. You can make it out of town before…before it’s too late.

Revealing Kia I must say had me wrapped in its spell!!! Airicka Phoenix has done an amazing job with this The Lost Girl Series Series. Being the continuation of Finding Kia I couldn't wait to continue the intense journey Kia faces in her newly changed life.

For a little taste of the captioning, Revealing Kia I won't say much to give it away, what fun would that be, hm? Kia continues on with her daily life trying to forget the events of days before. She's completely torn between her only best friend and the guy who's stolen her heart, with an interesting twist of being her best friends brother. Vanessa, Kia's best friend, has invited her to stay with her parents during the Christmas holidays. Knowing Adam, Vanessa's older brother, wouldn't be around she accepted. Boy did she not expect what was coming. Not to give any juicy details away, I'll leave you wondering, will Kia be able to be shared between her best friend and the guy she loves?
