New York Times best selling author, Tatum Longley, is being forced out of her comfort zone. Her publisher needs her to change from hard hitting nonfiction to romance writing.
But first she must find a muse.
Angelo has no desire to form relationships with anyone around him. But when a very persistent Tatum makes him an offer that nearly knocks this six foot five, long haired, tattooed, dangerous looking man, on his ass.
Will he be able to resist the temptation, or will be allow her to use him.
***This is a full length stand alone romance. Although a spinoff book from the Caldwell Brothers Series, it is not necessary to read any other books before this one, but it is recommended.***
There are layers upon layers to this story. The top layer is the running plotline. Tatum has returned to Detroit to deal with her past and hopefully achieve closure. "Kid" is at the Caldwell's gym still trying to figure out his life. Prison changed him. He took the consequences of his actions without defending himself and this is eating at him.
As these two characters run into each other, the second layer develops. Tatum needs a muse. She is being forced to write a romantic story and she has no clue. "Kid" inspires her and she needs to make a deal with him that will last 30 days and will help her write her book.
The final layer is the love affair that develops between these characters and the healing that must be achieved for the two of them to move on with their lives. This story is complex and well written. These are two characters you will hold close to your hearts and will hold dear.
I am reviewing this book on a voluntary basis. It is a story with pathos and should be read by all who love survivors. Thank you to the author for providing me a copy of this book.
