Sometimes the truth is right in front of you and you do not recognize it. Growing up we make up our minds and plan our lives using our brain. That is fine when you are strategizing finances, careers, etc. In matters of the heart, the brain can help you plan, but you always have to leave room for intuition and most of all spontaneity. It would be a sad world if we allowed the brain to rule everything... how would be feed our spirit and rejoice in the beauty of life?
Cara and Travis have been on and off and on again as a romantic couple since high school. They both agree they have an incendiary attraction to each other. Sex is over the top amazing. They have never found someone else to beat how wonderful they feel with each. Yet, they both different things out of life. Travis wants to stay in control of his emotions and not get committed and tied to one person. What would he do if he lost that person? He already lived through his father's death and his mother's meltdown. No way is he opening himself to hurt so deep because of love.
Cara wants the white picket fence, the 2.5 children, the yard, the house... she already has the dog. It is a shame that Travis is so different from her. He would have made a wonderful partner.
