Has anyone ever been able to control falling in love?  That's right, impossible! Call it pheromones, chemistry, fate... whatever, the attraction is there unrelenting and seeking to fulfill our need to find our other half that completes us.

Lucy and Drake are like this from the moment they met in person.  This was no simple crush or infatuation.  It was like they could look at each other and know they had found the one and only.  Their courtship was on steroids from that moment on as far as Drake was concerned.  He did not have much time for courtship with the election around the corner.   Besides, there was no way he was going to lose the girl he had been seeking all his life.

Life does complicate things a bit.  Not knowing each other very well, there are secrets that have been hidden and must reluctantly surface.  That is where our story gets complex and will tear your heart apart.

Our author has a direct and clear style in her writing.  No frills, you get the story straight from her heart.  This is a romance you read to feel hopeful there is hope in this world.

Joanne Schwehm is a wife, mother and romance author who loves to write and read romance. She loves to create stories that readers can get lost in. Her desire is to have readers want to get to know her characters and be a part of their lives. Without opening my eyes, I lean into Flynn’s lingering touch. He tucks more wayward hair behind my ear, pieces that weren’t even stuck to my cheek. He just wants to touch me. “Is this all right?” he whispers.

“Yes.”

I open my eyes, and he smiles at me. I smile back at him. He’s as excited by this development as I am. And, damn, it feels good. A million unsaid things are expressed as we gaze into each other’s eyes. Maybe not a million, but many, and all of them point to two things—I like Flynn, and he likes me. We are more than friends, more than pretend siblings.
