Does a fourteen-year age difference make you give up the one you love?

Connor and Kerrie's on and off relationship needs to be resolved.  They are both attracted to each other and yet Connor does not want to burden Kerrie with what this age difference might mean when they get older.  All he can go by is how his mother became a prisoner to his father's illness.  He never understood his mother was very happy to stay by her husband's bed.  They had had a marvelous marriage and would not forget that.

The tension between these characters drives the plotline.  It is never easy to work with an ex to which you are still attracted!
