The New York Times bestselling author of The Submissive returns with a scintillating new tale about power, danger, and jaw-dropping passion....

Nathaniel and Abby are struggling to navigate the challenging waters of their own relationship, when they get a surprising phone call from their partners in play, Dena and Jeff, who are in need of a helping hand…

Seven years ago, blonde, beautiful lawyer Dena Jenkins was tired of her carefully controlled life. Desperate for something exhilarating to help her escape the pressures of her demanding job and her senator father, she joined a steamy, local BDSM club as a submissive. There she met brooding Dominant, Jeff. The attraction between them was undeniable, and, despite Dena’s doubts, they couldn’t stay away from each other.

Except, as the years have passed, their blazing connection has proven difficult to maintain. Dena and Jeff have a history they’d rather forget, but Dena can’t let go of the past, and Jeff is ready to move across the country to give her space. Now, to save their passion, they’ll have to rediscover what it means to trust each other—and give themselves to each other completely…

Chapter One
Present day
Jeff Parks knew it was taking all of Dena’s willpower not to look his way. And since he had once had that willpower bend to his command, he was well aware of the strength involved. On any other given night, he’d be using his own willpower not to stare, but in light of his recent decision—
“Have you been listening to anything I’ve said in the last five minutes?” his friend and fellow Dom, Daniel, asked.
Jeff looked back to the man standing at his side. It was late on a Thursday night and their local BDSM group meeting had just ended. No one was in a hurry to leave though. Everyone wanted to stay around and talk with Nathaniel and Abby. At the moment, Nathaniel stood beside Daniel, grinning. The guest Dominant had led a discussion about keeping D/s relationships from getting stale. Considering the two scenes Jeff had participated in a few months ago with the married couple, staleness wasn’t an issue between Nathaniel and Abby.
“Sorry. What?” Jeff asked Daniel.
“Nothing important. Just going over plans for the play party tomorrow night.”
“Your house at ten.”
“At least you remember that part,” Daniel said in his not-quite-teasing voice.
“I’ve got a lot on my mind.” He might as well go ahead and tell Daniel everything. He’d find out  eventually  and the two of them had been friends for long enough that he deserved to hear the news from Jeff himself. “I’m moving.”
“You’re what?” Daniel asked in shock.
“Why?” Nathaniel asked at the same time.
Jeff’s gaze automatically found Dena again. She was talking with Abby and Julie. Daniel’s submissive must have said something funny, because Dena snorted with laughter, shaking her head. Her long blond hair swayed with the movement.
“Ah,” Daniel said.

“It’s not what you think.”

Wow, Mama!  Shut the front door!  Jeff and Dena's story is scorching hot and full of suspense.

They were Dom/sub before and things happened that made them break up.  Not telling what happened because you need to experience their story. Now, three or four years later, they still belong to the same Club, but the have been avoiding each other all this time.  That is not to say that they have not been checking each other out when the other was not looking.  But things are happening in Jeff's life and he is getting ready to move to Colorado and leave Delaware for a while.  He thinks this is best because, in addition to family pressures, he cannot get over what he feels for Dena.

Suspense time... big time!  Dena is a prosecuting attorney.  She has been getting threatening calls and now a note was left at her apartment threatening her.  She is totally derailed by this.  She is strong and assertive, but could this threat be for real?  Without a doubt, she needs Jeff's help to solve this.  He a security expert and would never forgive her if something were to happen and she did not let him know.

Two lovers like them need to come to terms with their emotions and the reasons they separated.  Nothing hurt Dena more than when Jeff withdrew his collar and set her free.  Now is time to fight for what they can have if they only communicate.

I have to admit, this series has developed and grown to something I really like.  These characters are real.  The emotions and circumstances that surround them feel real.  I really enjoyed reading book #5!

He was someone who belonged in my wildest fantasies instead of a rest stop in the middle of Nebraska.

A sexy, cocky, Australian named Chance was the last person I expected to run into on my cross-country drive.

When my car broke down, we made a deal. Next thing I knew, we were traveling together, spending sexually-tense nights in hotels and taking unplanned detours.

My ordinary road trip turned into the adventure of a lifetime. It was all fun and games until things got intense.

I wanted him, but Chance wouldn’t make a move. I thought he wanted me too, but something was holding him back.

I wasn’t supposed to fall for the cocky bastard, especially when I knew we’d be going our separate ways.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

Wicked White (Wicked White #1) by Michelle Valentine My Book Review

Wicked White (Wicked White #1)
by Michelle Valentine

My Book Review

After his mother dies, rock star Ace White—lead singer of the red-hot band Wicked White—is done with the celebrity game. The phony people, the meaningless one-night stands: he doesn’t want any of it anymore. Quitting in the middle of a sold-out tour, Ace sets out to find some place—any place—where he can be alone.

Aspiring singer Iris Easton’s life has never been easy. First, her mother walked out on her when she was a kid. Now she’s buried in debt, weeks after losing her beloved grandmother. When a mysterious and sexy new guy moves in next door, Iris can’t help but be drawn to his soulful gaze. She can tell there’s something from his past haunting him—something he’s not telling her.

Just as Ace starts falling for Iris, the media go on a worldwide hunt to find the missing rocker. Will true love conquer all, or will the truth be the very thing that tears the couple apart?
A rocker who does not do drugs, groupies or alcohol??  Yep, and he is a hottie too!  Ace has been there done that and has matured.

This is a gentle, loving story of that moment in everyone's life where we analyze our lives and the direction we are going.  If we are lucky, we take charge of our destiny and choose to stay true to ourselves.  Society, money, and other outside pressures sometimes lead us in a direction where we find ourselves wondering what happened to our dreams.  If we are lucky and we are young enough, we can still take control and make the corrections necessary to live a full and rewarding life.

In Michelle Valentine's unique style, she tells us a love story between two lonely souls, who have dreams and the determination to make them come true.  Their courtship and eventual affair, is both funny and endearing, as they play the game of love.  This is a book you will love to read and will hate to put down.  Ace and Iris, I am hooked on both of you!

I’m not sure I know what to think of the girl I’ve searched for since I was thirteen; she isn’t exactly how I remembered her. I’m twenty-five, a guy and a virgin. Yep, you read that right; I’m still a virgin. Why you ask? Because I met the woman of my dreams when she was still a girl and I’ve been searching for her ever since we met. I’ve saved myself for her, as I believe she saved herself for me. Why again? Because I will love her, like she will love me, when we finally meet, again. I’d like to think it was that simple, but I don’t really know if she will love me. I only hope she will. If she doesn’t, she won’t be the right girl for me, because like I said, I’ve been saving myself for the woman of my dreams. I just don’t know where she is…but I won’t stop searching until I find her. That is my mission. My quest.

The Quest of Perkins Vale © 2015 L.B. Dunbar “We met before. A long time ago in what I believe was your uncle’s home.” She only nodded, waiting for me to continue. Her hesitancy told me she might not remember me, and I felt a pinch in my heart. I’d been holding onto the memory for so long. I knew it was dangerous to hope she had held the memory, as well. “My uncle has many homes. Which one was it?” I paused. She didn’t remember; it was obvious. “The one near Lake Avalon.” She only nodded in an I-see sort of way. “And you know my uncle, how?” I began to wonder when this became her question and answer time versus mine. “Arturo’s father was a friend of his.” “Arturo? Was he the guy on the other bike?” I stopped flipping the bacon and pinched my eyebrows at her. “Yes. Arturo King.” She continued to look at me without recognition. “You do know who Arturo King is, right?” “Isn’t he the lead singer of The Nights?” “Yeah. The band playing last night at The Round Table.” I continued to stare at her, hesitant in my words, hopeful that she recognized the band. “And that makes you….?” I looked at her suddenly aghast. “You don’t know who I am?” “Of course, you’re…” She paused. I couldn’t believe it. She had no idea who I was. “You don’t know, do you? How could you get on the bike with me, if you had no idea who I was?” I began to beat the eggs briskly before dumping them into the ready skillet. “I…” She stopped. I returned my surprised face to look at hers. “Do you make it a habit of going home with strangers? Men you don’t know?” “I…” She looked hurt suddenly, but her face changed instantly to a hard shield. “It’s none of your damn business who I go home with or not. You practically kidnapped me. Once I was on the bike, it’s not like I had a choice. Ride or die.” “Ride or die?” I choked, a side of my lips curling upward, biting back a laugh. “Yeah. Ride, or jump off and die.” I returned to flipping the bacon, thoughtful for a moment. “I would never hurt you,” I said softly, still looking at the sizzling meat in the pan. Silence filled the space next to the crackle of frying bacon. “Will you please tell me who you are?” she finally asked, her voice no more than a whisper. “We won’t be strangers once you tell me your name.” Sighing, I responded, “I’m Perkins Vale.” Although I’d heard it before, I hardly expected it from her. “Alan Vale’s son?” Yep. For someone who hardly recognized Arturo King, and didn’t recognize me as Perkins Vale, she knew Alan Vale? “You know my father, but not me?” I couldn’t hold it in and laughed without humor. “Alan Vale was one of the greatest singer-guitarists of all times. His band won Grammys when they were young and old. The Valentines are classic.” Classic, I thought. Greatest, I almost choked. “I didn’t know him,” I bit out. Silence filled the air again between us. Plating eggs and bacon for her, I served her before I did the same for myself. I sat on a stool that made me perpendicular to her, so I could almost face her. She took several small bites of the food as if she was afraid it might poison her, but I devoured the meal, which I hoped prove to her it was safe to eat. “I’m sorry,” she said softly, “about your dad.” “It’s nothing.” I took a final gulp of coffee to steel my courage and ask her questions. “Why were you in a women’s shelter?” “You think I…” She stopped. “How do you know my name again?” she interrupted herself, as she squinted at me. “I know your uncle. Women’s shelter? Why?” “We’ve met before?” I had already concluded she didn’t remember our first meeting. “This is not how this is going to happen, Hollister.” I needed to change the direction of this inquisition. “I have questions, then you can have yours.” Delicately, she placed her fork on her plate and crossed her arms under her chest, forcing her breasts to rise. It distracted me and my body reacted again to her. I had to divert my eyes from the temptation of wanting to know what it felt like to cup them, tug them with my mouth, bite her nipples to see how hard they could get, and make her scream without hardly touching her. Her gaze on me narrowed again. “Are you done yet? I know your reputation.” I laughed, this time in earnest. “You don’t know me, but you know of my reputation?” “Who hasn’t heard of the Hands-Free Lover?” “What?” I choked, although I had heard that God-awful nickname amongst many others. “Hands-Free Lover. Known to make a woman scream in ecstasy without even touching her.” “Wow. That’s powerful stuff.” I smiled. She still held those narrowed steel eyes on me. “Want to find out?” I added. Her red lips opened wide in shock, and I’d gone too far again. I’d always had trouble with that, which is why I didn’t know how to communicate with women. I knew the ways of women: how to please them and make them scream, but I couldn’t talk to them. I always felt I’d say the wrong thing. I always asked too many questions, except for the right question all those years ago. My mind slipped back to my purpose with her. “Never mind.” I straightened my back. “I need to ask you about your uncle.” She hesitated for a moment. “Joseph?” The surprise wasn’t hidden on my face. “Joseph? I thought your uncle was Roy.” She had a thoughtful, contemplative look for a moment. “Hmm…Joseph.” Something was off. I didn’t believe her, but I let it go for now. I felt this was going too far, too fast again. I needed her to trust me. I wanted to prove she could trust me. “I need a shower,” I said. “Give me ten minutes and then I promise to drive you back to the shelter after we talk.” She relaxed her shoulders and let her crossed arms slide down her stomach to form resting hands in her lap. Hanging her head slightly, she nodded to agree with me. Feeling triumphant, I jumped off of my stool, leaving the dishes, and heading for my room. Entering the bathroom, I saw her clearing the dishes and starting the sink to wash them. I had a strange flash of her doing that action again, and I smiled to myself as I entered the shower. The trouble was I also thought of her standing in only the Swamp the Crows t-shirt, minus the leggings, minus anything else, in front of that sink; or better yet, completely naked against my kitchen counter. I envisioned me coming up behind her and covering her hands on the edge of the counter, holding her captive, while I rubbed myself against her bare ass. I imagined what she would sound like: a soft moan and a slight whimper. I imagined sliding my knee between her thighs, forcing her to spread her legs and then rubbing my throbbing length against her warmth. I grabbed myself in the shower, unable to resist the heaviness in my hands. I had to get release to stop thinking of her that way. I needed answers first. I slipped my palm upward, jerking several times as I began to imagine what it would feel like to enter her. How tight. How warm. How wet. I had to place a hand on the slick tile to hold my large body steady as I jerked one more time and spilled into the warm cascade of water. I could only imagine what she would feel like, because I didn’t know. I hadn’t known any woman like that. Ever. At twenty-five, I was still a virgin.

Perkins has been looking for the girl with the silver eyes all his life.  One encounter by the Lake Avalon was all it took for him to know she was his destiny.

The second time he saw her was by pure coincidence.  He was lost and walking along the Lake and came upon a tent.  She was inside the tent and was scared.  The man that had kidnapped her would be coming back soon, she said, and she was afraid he would kill Perkins.  At fourteen years old, Perkins only knew he had to help her escape and promised to come back.  They exchanged gifts as a promise... but by the time he returned the next morning it was too late.  She was gone and no longer there.

With Arturo missing, Perkins quest is now the focus of his life.  Until Arturo decides to come back, Perkins cannot help but pursue Hollister and keep her safe.  Her secrets are many and kept very deeply hidden.  All Perkins wants is to protect her and call her his forever.

There are many twists and turns in this story.  I truly believe you need to read the first two books to understand all that is going on with the characters.  The book is a little slow in the beginning for those of us who already know what happened to Arturo, etc. but as Perkins story with Hollister begins to evolve, the story picks up pace and becomes very interesting.  The last half of the book is especially good and gripping as Hollister's life is again in peril.

Gabrielle Boudreaux, the youngest of the Boudreaux clan, is a single mother of her young son, Sam. Running a Bed and Breakfast at the family plantation house at the edge of the Mississippi River, Gabby loves her inn, her boy and her family. She meets new people every day, and takes pride in the house and land that has been in her family for more than five generations. Blessed beyond measure, she’s also lonely, although she would never admit that to anyone. Until Rhys O’Shaughnessy walks through her door, brooding and wounded and the sexiest thing she’s ever laid eyes on. Rhys has been at the top of his game as a major league pitcher for the Chicago Cubs for more than ten years. Baseball is in his blood. But when he tears his rotator cuff and has to sit a season out, he retreats to Inn Boudreaux at the recommendation of his cousin, Kate, to heal and work toward building his shoulder back to perfect shape with only one goal in mind: to return to the game he loves. But he didn’t plan on being utterly charmed by a devastatingly beautiful woman and her baseball-loving son. When Rhys’ shoulder has healed and he’s given the chance to return to his team, will he leave the family he’s come to love behind, or will he stay with Gabby and Sam?

“Good, but you should have called me,” Eli says, then sighs when Rhys kisses my hand. “Are you going to continue to touch my sister for all of us to see?”

“Yes,” Rhys replies simply, making Kate grin.

“I’m not sure how I feel about this,” Eli says.

“You don’t have to feel any way about it,” I reply in frustration. “I’m a grown-ass woman.”

“It’s my job to protect you,” Eli says, as if I’m being difficult.

“But it’s not your job to be an ass,” Kate says, but softens the blow by kissing his cheek. “It’s Rhys. You know him. And they’re cute together.”

“Hurt her, and—”

“Seriously,” I interrupt, not wanting to hear the hurt her and I’ll kill you speech. “We’re fine.”

“I get it,” Rhys says to Eli. “I feel the same about Kate; you know that. We’ve had that conversation. I almost decked you when you showed up in Denver.”

Eli sits back in his chair, and his eyes calm a bit, but he looks no less foreboding.

“Don’t make me regret trusting you,” Eli says calmly, just as our meals are delivered.

“Back at you,” Rhys replies with a cold smile. Kate catches my eye, and we both sigh, and shrug as if to say, what can you do? They love us. They’re worried about us.

Damn it, sometimes they’re idiots.

But lunch is delicious.

“Beau said this morning that you need a new dishwasher,” Eli says.

“I do. I’ll find time to pick one out in the next few days.”

“Just come to the office with me after lunch and sign off on one, and I’ll have it delivered. It’s your inn, but damn it, we can help with that shit. You’re busy enough.”

“Too busy,” Kate agrees.

“I think I’m going to hire some help,” I reply. “Rhys might have talked me into it.”

Eli’s eyebrow shoots up in surprise. “We’ve been trying to talk you into it for over a year.”

“I didn’t need it a year ago.” I shrug and twirl a long string of cheese around my fork. “But I’m much busier now, and Sam is getting more involved in things, so it’s time to have some help.”

“I’ll take care of it,” Eli says, as if there is no room for argument, and I simply laugh at him.

“No, you won’t.”

“Gabby, I have a whole HR staff that can easily find someone qualified to help you.”

“I’m perfectly capable of finding someone to help me,” I reply. “You run your business, and I’ll run mine, big brother.”

He sits back in his hair and tilts his handsome head, watching me. “Okay. You handle it.”

“I will.” I nod once and sip my Coke. “I wonder if I should specify in the ad that felons aren’t welcome to apply.”

“Gabby, let me handle this!” Eli exclaims, and I can’t help but dissolve in a fit of giggles.

“I’m teasing. It sure is fun to get you all riled up.”

“Most wouldn’t dare,” Kate says good-naturedly. “I wonder what people would say if they knew that he’s nothing but a big softie.”

“I will take you over my knee, Kate,” he murmurs to her, and Rhys tenses up beside me, but Kate just laughs and leans her head on Eli’s shoulder.

“Right. Except you have this thing against spanking me, so I don’t think that’ll happen.”

Eli’s lips twitch as he buries them in Kate’s hair and kisses her head.

“I don’t mind being spanked,” I add and eat a chip loaded with cheese and beans, just as Eli’s eyes go cold again, pinned on Rhys, who simply laughs beside me.

“I don’t need to know this,” Eli growls.

“It’s not like he leaves marks. Well, they don’t stay for long.”

Kate is laughing like a loon into her hand, Rhys is smiling widely, and Eli looks like he’s about to spit nails.

Or spank me himself.
