He turned to say something to the hostess, and I took a gulp of air. I’d forgotten to breathe. I put my hands to my shirt buttons to make sure they were fastened, because I felt as if he’d undressed me.

About the Author

CD Reiss is a USA Today and Amazon bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn’t pick up, she’s at the well, hauling buckets.

I go to her and place my hand on her shoulder, and she turns around and I’m faced with the most unexpected thing that I think has ever happened. Willow turns around and grabs handfuls of my shirt and pulls me to her soft, wanting lips. She kisses me, and it’s just not a kiss that breathes lust but it breathes the fire of passion, of meaning. It makes my hair stand on end and leaves the skin beneath electrified. The soft motion of her mouth with mine, the scent of her hair and the taste of her tongue dancing inside my mouth, spins me into oblivion. There’s more to this kiss. I feel it in my bones. It’s not the right time to analyze what that kiss was. Maybe it was a goodbye kiss. A proper send off. The end of whatever we were to each other. Was it a blessing for me to go and see where it goes with Cora? What was that? I’ll tell you what it was. The unexpected.

“I’ll miss you, Willow.” Not being so sure she can hear me, I say it as I walk out the door. I leave her with my brain consisting of mush and my lips already feeling some sort of loss.
Most of all… a lot to think about.

 Once again the gang is all together for the Summer at Sandy Cove.  A celebration in honor of Harlow and Cruz begins the story.  Their lives are now entwined and they are looking forward to a future where they will be married.

Willow, with her tough attitude, cannot believe her best friend is now engaged to Cruz.  She is so skeptical she will ever find love that she is a little depressed.  Her outlet as always is to be rude to Max.  Theirs is a hate/hate relationship, with all the rude and crude comments that come with it.  They are compared to oil and vinegar - they cannot mix.  What starts as a drinking celebration ends up with a lost night - they were all so drunk - and Willow waking up nude in Max's bed.  OOpsie!

These two characters should just be locked up in a room and just throw away the key.  All the fighting is just the foreplay of two stubborn characters unwilling to admit they have deeper feelings for each other.  This story is their journey as they grow up and finally recognize what feelings they have for each other.  The journey is full of obstacles, missed opportunities, losing loved ones and commitment to fight for what is real.

Once again Sandy Cove gives us the perfect Summer love story!

I really liked this story. I am not a fan of paranormal, but this story is so full of mystery and suspense, I love it.
Lucien continues to be an enigma to us and himself. Selene and Bailey seem to know more than they want to share and I wish Lucien would question them more deeply. Dahlia may be in peril if she stays with Lucien. Lucien is becoming more human as he falls deeper in love with her. I have heard of power transfer when two lovers are into BDSM, but this is something totally different.

Dahlia is so in love with Lucien, I don't think she realizes the changes in her. Theirs is a love affair that keeps growing as she falls deeper for him too.

Written with the style unique to our author, this is both an entertaining and engrossing story you will not want to miss. Be warned the end of this installment is a cliffhanger that will have you wishing for the next book right away!
