The Marcello family is everything to Andino.    He was raised to obey the orders of the boss and never question.  His uncle Dante is now retiring and has entrusted Andino as the heir to succeed him as boss.  Although this moves surprises Andino, he realizes he is the logical successor to lead his family.  Only one problem.  The job comes with rules and tradition.  It requires a level of sacrifice he never thought existed.  He must decide.

Loving a woman from outside the family was never his intention.  One look at Haven was all it took for Andino to lose his heart to this woman.  She is an independent and hardworking business owner totally unconnected to the Cosa Nostra or the Italian community.  Oh, did I also mention she occasionally strips and dances are her strip club?  This would never make her a suitable wife for the boss of the Marcello family.

Deeply moving look at the daily decisions members of this Mafia family and those affected by them experience.  They are human beings with a different perspective on protecting those who are part of their family.  Although brutal in their actions to enforce their control and power, in the end, they are still human beings ruled by traditions and the rigors protecting others dictate on them.

Can hardly wait for the next book in this series.  The lives these characters lead consumes me.
